Raithe Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Having a few nights of awkward sleep. I guess at least last night I managed to get some sleep, even if it was just faling asleep, waking up suddenly, half dozing off, repeat for hours.. The previous night I just ended up staring at the ceiling until some time around 5am or so before actually dropping off. Potentially that's catching up with this morning, but we'll see how the day shapes up. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."

Calax Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Well, got a call back from the adult shop. They want a in-person application and then they'll set up an interview. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
LadyCrimson Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Errands...the morning warmed up quickly, making the black interior of my ride a sweat-sauna. Then arrived home to a rather warm home interior, and thus I'm now lounging around in an air conditioned room in my underwear. I love electricity. Time for another Netflix binge before the evening rounds. “Things are as they are. Guard Dog Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) Or you could have woken up to stuff written on the wall with your blood. But then you'd be dead in that case so you wouldn't wake up. Depends on how much the writer had to say. That just puts Shakespeare's quote about brevity being the soul of wit into a whole new light. Calax Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) Standing in a convenience store where I think Hades used to work. Edit: Yep. It was. And I managed to talk to Hades ex-roommate a bit. He's gonna dig out some photos for me, including a few that are a bit more professional than just "Hah! Camera!". Edited April 30, 2013 by Calax 4 Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Raithe Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Hm, having an odd start to the morning here. I have to admit, after having to spend the better part of 18 days with the groom's family during that trip to Mexico, I was really quite glad when we got back to have that time away and plenty of my own personal space. But for some reason I'm having that slight disconnect today, especially since apart from a chunk of last saturday, I haven't actually talked to anyone in person outside my family in the couple of weeks since I got back. Also, I definitely miss the fun flirty banter I got to engage in with the various pretty women in Mexico. Nothing serious or taken far, just.. fun and making them smile. Heh, of course now pretty much all of them are now in-laws of one sort or another to my friend... So having a slow cup of tea, and trying to figure what has me all discombobulated as the morning rolls on. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Walsingham Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Raithe, old boy. You're a grown man, who - motivated by an admirably strong sense of duty - is in a weird and unnatural position of being stuck at home. From your toenails up, you're a bloke. You're designed to want independence and pretty women. There's nothing mysterious at work! Dr Walsingham prescribes more pretty women, and time out of the house. 2 "It wasn't lies. Amentep Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) Dr Walsingham prescribes more pretty women, and time out of the house. Does his medical insurance cover such a prescription? Or is he going to have a large out of pocket expense? Edited April 30, 2013 by Amentep 2 I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Raithe Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Oh, and after a hospital visit this afternoon, more fun stuff with doctors. Aka, the bone doctor who flat out said that "that's the worst knee I've seen. All bone is on bone, the joints, the knee-cap. The mobility issues and pain that causes must seriously impair quality of life" combined with how hip and spine are worsening.. He followed that with the whole "if I had my way, I'd have you in this afternoon to do the replacement and at least deal with that." Add lengthy pause, before the "Buuut, with all of the other issues going on, I'm just not confident that there wouldn't be any other complications due to all the other issues, so we aren't going to do it." Which leads into him covering his ass, and organising yet more time for the various specialities to write letters to each other, without ever actually doing anything... All of this has my mother in a very good mood... "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Nepenthe Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) I sense Dr. Walsingham could have a flourishing Harley street practice. Hmm, good point. I just assumed there'd be a fair amount of writing. Do wonder how suitable blood is for ink though. Probably someone has wrote about this online, will have to track that down. LadyCrimson Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I need to stop watching movies like "Ghost" at lunchtime, just "because they're on", since I then go around the rest of the day in a semi-sad state of mind. Off to a buddy's house. We're going window-shopping, maybe see a movie. Air-conditioned mall, baby. “Things are as they are. Calax Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I suppose I should ask this in the next iteration as well, but i'm currently so pissed at my job I just wrote a page long letter to one of the people at the franchise office (basically throwing out what led me to seek other employment and my problems with the establishment). Should I give it to her? or just let it sit (I make explicit that I'm seeking other employment at the current time, but won't terminate until I have a new job). LadyCrimson Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 So much post nasal drip I have to take drugs before bed to prevent chest congestion, again. Blargh. ...but I had a good afternoon out with my friend, browsing bookstores and shops and having a snack at an eatery while gabbing. No alcohol or mud wrestling was involved, but it was fun anyway. Need to figure out the local summer events and see what I can drag hubby and others to - I feel a need to do something a bit more interesting than "the usual" weekend stuff this year. “Things are as they are.
