Planescape Torment OST - The Smoldering Corpse Bar(Alternate)

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Got the tape this was on during a mission, so was a fitting soundtrack while creeping around a coca field gunning down cartel members (and that one lady I blasted with the GP25 by accident).

Better than the actual thing

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader, still some of my ultimate fave soundtracks, where I didn't dislike a single track.

The uploader didn't remember the track apparently (theme, the chant, and combat tracks were probably most known), but I remember watching the workers march across the castle grounds or grass to deliver goods with this playing, all the time. It was sort of the "castle idly going about its business" track maybe. Sigh. 1st time playing a game memories.

Edited: oops I meant Crusader, not SH2. SH2 sucked.

What no mention of Total Annihilation, Grim Fandango or Mechwarrior 2 ? Heresy.

Also, there was another thread on this, buried now, but had a lot of good stuff.

I feel compelled to post:

I like Fight On from FF7 (I think mostly due to nostalgia now, but it just fit so well with the boss fights). This track is probably a key cog for the scene that converted me back to a PC gamer back in 1999. I think Bloodlines had some catchy ones that seemed to fit the scene so well.

There's something about

that has some tracks that I
for no particular reason!

And while many may feel it reminds them too much of something they didn't enjoy,

is a great piece IMO.

Came across this and it's interesting how much of this is still true to me today :D

Little bit of topic, but nice to see you again alanschu. I did not wanted to say welcome back in the Bioware doom and gloom thread. I hope you can stay here some time longer and from time to time "leak" in between the lines some interesting info :)

“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

I don't remember much about Origins' music, but Arkham City had some seriously great music alright.
