What's wrong with a food bar?

 

Just a personal preference but I dont like game mechanics that force me into do X in X time or DIE. Food / water bars, spirit meters, etc... I just dont need the pressure.

I don't like it either, but since there was no mention of it in the two reviews that we've had so far its probably safe to assume that food won't be much of a problem. Either there's enough of it to go around or the bar depletes really slow.

Or it could be like in good old MUDs where you almost couldn't regenerate stamina in order to move around if you hadn't eaten in a long time. Dying is a bit too harsh of a measure.

That review definitely makes me want to play that game. The puzzle stuff will likely annoy me at a times, unless it's nothing more than Tombraider-level puzzles, but yeah...sounds great to me. I love the idea of lots of secrets and the reviewer mentioning they kept hunting every tile for them. Luv that stuff.

Pre-ordered at developers website. That way you get both a stand alone installer and a steam key.

I think food killed me more times than monsters, backfiring wands, angry shopkeepers, unidentified potions and cursed scrolls added together.

    Was disappointed in the last installment. The Cryengine is no longer the apex of PC eyecandy amnyway. Or if it is things have been moving really slowly.

    I liked the story of Crysis 2. But I pretty much enjoy any tale that promotes transhumanism. Too much Luddism in fiction.

    But the main reason is that I value this forums as the best source of recommendations for good RPG games, with the exception of people with no taste in games like Volo and some FPS lovers :p

     

    Almost no elitism here and very nice bunch of people with similar taste in WRPGs, like I have. Shame there is not many JRPG lovers here as well, it is even harder to find good JRPG localized in English or German or Russian, than to find decent WRPG... Anyway, any lame JRPG still offered me better entertainment than any FPS I played after Unreal Tournament classic and Quake 3 Arena...
