Guest The Architect Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Pretty much just because they consider Shepard awesome. He's been a bit of a silly ego-stroke protagonist from the get go. It doesn't matter that he wasn't working alone, it was all him. I hope Mass Effect 3 will let me finally start gunning down Cerberus Operatives while yelling "FOR KOHAKU!" It's KAHOKU you blasphemer!
Ice9 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 That proto-terminator really bugged me. In ME1 Sovereign is all "We're the pinnacle of evolution. We're beyond your comprehension." Then it turns out, "Oh about that we're a greater realm of existence stuff. Turns out it's just part of the reproductive system. Oh don't worry. I don't expect you to understand reproduction." That whole sequence was a big demystification of the Reapers and, frankly, sometimes mysteries are better than answers. Everything was beautiful. Nothing hurt.
Hassat Hunter Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Not to mention it just sucked and was ridicilous. ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. HoonDing Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 At least it was more fun than evil Kermit from ME1. You could just blow it with the Cain, and go home. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Guest The Architect Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) It's not the same kind of reproduction, though. If it were, there would be Reaper porn online by now. You don't see women killing people, turning them into a milkshake and drinking it so they can pop a kid out. But it isn't beyond humanities comprehension. Sovereign just thought we were stupid. He's got a point, though. Edited March 24, 2011 by The Architect

Guest The Architect Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Poisonous spiders are the key to killing the Reapers? I knew it!

Guest The Architect Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I don't see how giving the Reapers an erection is going to stop them from killing us all.
Tale Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) They won't kill us all. At worst they'll be at the cusp of victory, then proceed to transfer themselves into toasters or various other household appliances for absolutely no reason at all. At which point they can be killed with handguns. Edited March 24, 2011 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Guest The Architect Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Depends. I've tried killing toasters before with handguns. They're tough mother****ers.

Tale Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) As long as they don't make some sort of Anti-Shepard. A battleship armed with an anti-infantry gun. It's crazy enough to work. The Reaper Anti-Shepard would be the one dreadnought among them that isn't a moron. Edited March 24, 2011 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
HoonDing Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Shepard getting assimilated better be one possible ending. In fact, I regret wiping out the Council as a Renegade. What can be more satisfying than showing up at the Citadel with a Reaper horde and shove it in the face of that Turian councilor? The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

HoonDing Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Is it possible/viable to play the Kasumi DLC after having already finished the main quest + Shadow Broker? I'm interested in this DLC but don't feel like playing the entire game again. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

I'd say drop Kasumi, it was too short, but Shadowbroker was great. Rain makes everything better.

I'm interested in this DLC but don't feel like playing the entire game again. Sure, why not? Just beware that it is very short. I only bought the Kasumi DLC when they had a sale for it late last year.

The mission itself is fine, albeit very short (pretty much standard loyalty mission length, imo, so ymmv), and the major part of its innovations were rolled into later DLC (really just a charitable way for saying flashbang using enemies). Edited March 27, 2011 by Nepenthe You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
