That smiley is very appropriate, for (most likely) unintended reasons.

In Pursuit of Greed (1995)

Horrible game, but the 'techno' music impressed me and the game sounds blended in quite well in amusing ways.

Soundtrack by Andrew "Necros" Sega.

Someone put it all together here.

Pain. Pain, when torn into this wakefulness, this reminder of the chaos from which they had escaped. Pain of having to live! There will be no more pain. There will be... no more chaos."

A very unusual game. Bought it a long time ago on Gamersgate (on sale for £2.49 at the moment). Also took me a long time to get into.

I love pretty much anything by Salamander Factory (I don't get it either,) a freelance Japanese group of composers that does game music and odd iPhone apps. Best known for their Super Robot Wars work. If there's any original character theme in a SRW game, I probably like it, and it was probably composed by one of the members of SF.

One of the most interesting aspects of their work is that they typically establish themes, (in a classical sense,) for antagonistic factions, so you hear elements of the base theme in each individual character's theme.

e.g. The base theme for a faction called the Balmar Empire is this:

and you can hear it as an underlying element in the themes of its characters, like so:
