Killian Kalthorne
A game console is only as good as the games on it. That is why I am not too impressed by the PS3. Sure it has nice tech behind it, but the games I want to play are on either the PC or XBox 360, which is a less costier option to game on than the PS3. The only reason why the PS3 is going to last 10 years is because it will take that long for SOny to make any money off of it. Llyranor
Well, I'd be embarassed to use cost as a reason to select my choice of console if I was buying 16 gig of RAM for PC gaming and using Fatal1ty soundcards. It saved my gaming experience. One of the reason why its wise to buy PS3 for Final Fantasy XIII rather than Xbox 360 ... I am realy curious how many DVDs would be needed for that game The second and the biggest reason to buy PS3 for that game is Final Fantasy versus 13 (still PS3 exclusive ) so you save one Xbox 360 purchase when you want to play both games Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Rhomal
Every 12-18 months I do a cpu, mobo, ram and video card upgrade. While I never buy the latest bleeding edge (I buy about one generation behind the newest, most cost effective price vs performance) the upgrades certainly cost much less then a new ps3 and easily last me over a year. If I wanted to my current AMD X2 5200+ 2gigs ram and 8800GT 512meg prob could last me until 2010 if I desired with very acceptable gameplay still.
