Tigranes Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Wouldn't '135 employees' include people like Rob Ginnis (community manager) as well though? Heck, it could even include secretaries and whatnot. Adam Brennecke Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 135 sounds about right which includes everyone at Obsidian. Head count might be a bit more since then. Follow me on twitter - @adam_brennecke

Walsingham Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Is it just me, or am I paranoid? How come you're asking? "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

Volourn Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Won't be too long before Obsidian will be anything but small. 135 and counting. Next up 200 employees. Plus, 3 games in development (and a 4th in secret maybe shhh). Not bad, not bad. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
DAWUSS Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Next thing you know Obsidian will be this huge company, and I'll be this insignificant individual who saw the whole trip but wasn't along for the ride... DAWUSS Dawes ain't too bright. Hitting rock bottom is when you leave 2 tickets on the dash of your car, leave it unlocked hoping someone will steal them & when you come back, there are 4 tickets on your dashboard.
Volourn Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 "I'll be this insignificant individual" Sad to say; but you already are. So am I. They make games for lots of people not just individuals. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Xard Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 well, I didn't see that coming How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
Magister Lajciak Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 135 people is a nice number - it gives significant development strength, yet is still small enough that most people are at least familiar with one another if not know each other.

One to get the coffee. One to drink the coffee. One to give feedback. One to hate the feedback. One to hate the feedback of the one who hated the feedback. One to tell everyone that they are doing a great job.

We also need separate people for each key to be tapped.
Lord2 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Hmm... With 135 developers and 4 games, that's like 33.75 (LOL) per game - that's not much. Or do you count the "135" as developers or employees?
