Sounds great and similar to what I meant! Of course, in an RPG the 'alien classes' would have to be designed to have complementary roles.

I don't think it would be cool. It would suck, royally. Aliens are hive creatures.

Yeah, so you'd start out doing missions around the hive. You know, fixing it and getting it all set up.

On a slightly diffrent note, it could be interesting to play a game as an alien, starting as a facehugger, rather than as a human. I believe this was possible in one of the AvP games. As a facehugger, I recall having to find a lone person to latch onto to transform into a real alien. It was cool! :shifty:

 

Hmmm. While it's an interesting idea, I don't see how it would work in a CRPG. I mean, where is the plot if you're playing an alien?

Your mission: Capture every living being so it can be turned into more aliens. If it resists, kill it instead. :ermm:

Drone #72's Journal Entry, Day 654 - Captured some human beings and left them for the eggs. Went and got drunk with Drone #345. Don't remember much after that.

 

Drone #72's Journal Entry, Day 675 - Tried to capture some human beings. They shot at me. Got a good laugh when the idiot shooting at me point blank got sprayed with my blood. Makes the pain worth it to have the memory of the surprise on their face as their flesh melts off their body. Good times, good times.

"I'm not, but I'm not sure the video game market is reading for the "you saved the world, now you die" ending. Besides which, that ending kinda implies a sort of futility in the game itself unless some form of self sacrifice is involved. Otherwise you'd spend the game trying to stop the alien infestation only to - at the very least - put one more of the little buggers back into play to potentially imperil others. And I'm still not sure its what the RPG market is willing to accept. "-Amentep
