Tigranes Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Yeah, it's funky because they stop after taking 1 damage, but often they continue the animation, and the action bar on the bottom right is screwed with that so you never know when it's supposed to be done. Just persevere though, and try and keep them way back while rushing everyone else forward as fodder. Gorgon Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 It worked, although I have shelfed the game again, no patience for 5 minuite loadtimes anymore. I found myself just playing on trying to reach an autosave because even the quicksave is an extremely lengthy affair. So I basically died with no saves anywhere near my progress point. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

Gfted1 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 ^I played that back in the day. IIRC, the best equipment was +3 stuff and and I had a paladin/mage (I want to say the level cap was 10/class) which in the vernacular of that day was referred to as a "Palm". If you were a cleric/mage it was know, cleverly enough, as a "Clam". "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Gorgon Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) Incidentally, has anyone here played teh old skool Neverwinter Nights by AOL: Yup, they did something based on Dragonlance as well. With a lot better loadtimes too. It ain't MUD, as they called it back then, tho. Edited October 24, 2007 by Gorgon Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
Gorgon Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) I found a fix to the load thing by simply turning everything down to ugly mode, I have enough texture memory and the game runs fine, but without the extra texture data loading every time you make an area transition I can actually load a game in under a minuite. I made it to the final standoff and was off to fight the King of shadows when the game presented me with the first CDT and whats worse, during a cutscene, just wonderful. I suppose it could be to do with the setting changes I made, but i'm not hopeful. Edited October 24, 2007 by Gorgon Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

How about Oblivion? It'll probably run, but I'd guess it'll be pretty slow. NWN2 doesn't support mult-core (unless they've changed it) so you're basically running with one processor there. I was running on an Athlon 3000+ with an x1950 and it was still pretty sluggish in areas. Now I have a nice new rig and it's like a different game, much more enjoyable...especially with the excellent AI tweaks and the party buffing rod (I'd recommend this to anyone, it rocks). The best flash game ever!
