December 5, 200619 yr Camera moves way too fast (gliders in menu doesn't have effect at all!) and there's small amount of lag that didn't exist before I patched the game. I'm in Gem Mines. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
December 5, 200619 yr i've seen only half a dozen bags and, in act 3, i finally got my first 100% bag. FWIW, i've upgraded to 1.03 but have not played since. i have had very few problems so far, so i'm hopeful it will stay that way. i won't play again till the weekend probably. taks comrade taks... just because.
December 5, 200619 yr "in act 3, i finally got my first 100% bag." Only found one actual bag of holding myself too. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

December 5, 200619 yr Can you find your saved games anywhere? In case I wanna store em for a new installation? And also, are those saved games compatible with a new installation? DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.

It's a good idea to back that folder up.

Edit: Just one more query in that respect; if I uninstall the game and then reinstall, should I then do anything with this folder? Or will my old saved games just be there in the new installation? I hope you understand my question :D Edited December 5, 200619 yr by Lucius DENMARK! It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.

All your saves, screenshots, modules, hacks, 2da's, etc., will be there.
December 5, 200619 yr I'll back that up. I'm just hacking my way through the second orc cave in chapter 1, and up until this point, it would've taken about half of my cash to buy a magic bag. I'll probably do so when I get back to the city, though. I'm finally reaching the limits of what Khelgar can carry. (I didn't make a sell-off run between the 2 orc caves.) Edit: And I only played for an hour or so yesterday, but the patch was working fine (once I turned down the camera scroll speed to a sane level). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seriously, what do you do with your money? When I hit Neverwinter I typically have something like 30000 GP at least. Spending 2000-3000 on a bag wouldn't even make a dent.

Some better armor for the Dwarf is probably the priciest thing I bought in Highcliff (Banded +1, I think). I did take the diplomatic solution to early quests wherever I could (Bandits, Lizardfolk), which probably got me less loot. I was also saving a fair amount of equipment that under the theory that I might pick up a new companion who could use it. Were I on a repeat play-through knowing what to expect, I probably would have sold much more. Edit: I also recall spending a fair amount of cash at Sand's shop, picking up all the lvl 1-3 spells that my main character (Rog-Wiz) had missed. Edited December 5, 200619 yr by Enoch
December 5, 200619 yr if you not use munchkin crafting to make uber armour and weapons, then buy stuff from deekin gets real expensive real fast. additional buy a handful of spells and some heal kits is gonna make your 30k disappear in a moment... and we not recall having 30k... 'less we sold every spare item we had, and as we didn't know who the future joinable npcs would be and how we woulds need to outfit them we could not simply sell every spare weapon and armour. total of 3 bags max in chapter 1... and spend +800gp for what were equivalent of a gem bag/scroll case were seeming more than a little nuts at the time... and when we planned to go back and gets magic pouch in chapter 2, after we had more gold to spend, the swamp inn were gone. go figure. 3 bags became 2. December 5, 200619 yr Does anyone know how to turn comments on? I've read about how the game's story is more immersive when they are on, but I have not found an option to enable them. Are they a console command? If so, what is the specific command?

December 5, 200619 yr Uh... what kind of comments? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think they are like DM descriptions. I've seen them in reference to Sand in the trial, and M-whatever ( the devil ), specifically about actions which may be difficult to emulate in the game engine.

December 6, 200619 yr One thing that bothered me about all the NWN's is that you don't really get starting gear. Every time I want to create an exotic weapons specialist I usually have to wait to third or fifth level before I get my hands on the only weapon I'm good with. Also no weapon-like spell specialization. Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
December 6, 200619 yr "then buy stuff from deekin gets real expensive real fast. additional buy a handful of spells and some heal kits" Unless you are a PrC, most of what he sells is junk. You use heal kits, and actually buy them? I used maybe 5 the whole game and only bought some +10 ones later on though I don't know why I bothered. There's enough healing potions including unlimited heal types starting in ch2 I believe as well aqs 2 npcs that can cast healing spells inclduing oen that comes relatively early. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
December 6, 200619 yr Why even bother with healing? I never even had to use potions, I sold them all since there was no way to get the AI to stop using them, in the end it was more trouble than it was worth. Instarest pretty much makes healing redundant anyway.
December 6, 200619 yr No need for healing kits/potions over here. I'm now regenerating at 7hp per round. )
