Sand Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Arafel's Lament The sorrow of the elves is they live beyond their time (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) Until the world forgets them save in tales and ryme When shall I hang my own upon the tree? The sorrow of the elves is that all they love must die (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) Time whithers all about them yet the elves it passes by When shall I hang my own upon the tree? The sorrow of the elves is they dare not touch a friend (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) For touching brings a change that magic cannot mend When shall I hang my own upon the tree? The sorrow of the elves made them seek another place (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) and I alone remain the last of my lost race When shall I hang my own upon the tree? Now I alone remain to mourn and count the cost (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) Of every leaf that fades and every flower lost When shall I hang my own upon the tree? Yes, I alone remain to hold the land that magic made (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) I canold back the dark and daily see it fade When shall I hang my own upon the tree? The sorrow now is mine who harms what I would heel (The Tree of Swords and Jewels waits for me) And how long must I bare the stand of sorrow's seal When shall I hang my own upon the tree? alanschu Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Well, I could talk about it more, but then I'd just spoil it for you.
Spider Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) BTW, has anyone given the companion NPCs a Prestige Class ? I'm thinking that Druidic elf would make a fair Harper, and Neeska would be a good Duelist or ShadowDancer Can't be done. Only single class NPCs. Khelgar can be switched to a monk, but even so he'll respec from level one and be a single-class monk. Edited November 15, 2006 by Spider
Wistrik Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) There are no wild elves in NWN2, AFAIK.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps she meant wood elf. Only two letters different. :D Edited November 15, 2006 by Wistrik
Oerwinde Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 There are no wild elves in NWN2, AFAIK.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Elanee and Daeghun(I think thats how you spell it) are both wild/wood elves. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Deraldin Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 There are no wild elves in NWN2, AFAIK.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Elanee and Daeghun(I think thats how you spell it) are both wild/wood elves. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wild elves and wood elves are two different subraces of elf. <_<
Maria Caliban Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 "Wild elf" "Wood elf" "Pointy-eared treehugger" "Badger-loving, moss-growing, backcountry bark-eater" You say to-MAY-toe. I say to-MAH-toe. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
roshan Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wood elves are the wood lovers. Wild elves are just wild. Wood elves get a bonus to strength, wild elves do not. As long as it has an effect on min maxing, theyre clearly different Hopefully expansion packs will expand the subrace selection.
Wistrik Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 In my last game, my lovely wood elf became a wild elf for a night.
Wistrik Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I do. Unfortunately, though I plan to include her in modules I want to make, I don't have access to the actress who provided her wonderful voice.
taks Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 that's an unhealthy fetish you have going on there, wistrik. taks comrade taks... just because.
alanschu Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I remember at first thinking the same towards Jaheira, but I think that that was more just because it was the first time I had ever seen a romance in a game like this, so it was a pretty new and cool thing at the time.
Dark_Raven Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wood elves, wild elves, all the same. Country hicks. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Jorian Drake Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) Wood elves, wild elves, all the same. Country hicks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you say this to them then: a. Wood elves politely ask you to leave their forest before you become a practice target b. Wild elves go berzerk and rush on you like a pack of Worgs on a little sheep "Wild elf" "Wood elf" "Pointy-eared treehugger" "Badger-loving, moss-growing, backcountry bark-eater" You say to-MAY-toe. I say to-MAH-toe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is the way Gold Elves speak. Edited November 15, 2006 by jorian
roshan Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Gold elves suck. Unless you are building up a mage. Then theyre a lot better.
Dark_Raven Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Gold, Moon, Drow rule over all other elves. Game Over. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Maria Caliban Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I find the lucky charm like quality of Faruen elves annoying. What next, sea elves? Flying elves? "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
