Fenghuang
Only if you were interested in experiencing every aspect of the game. Again, jumping puzzles in FPSes are fun. RIP
alanschu
I really liked the one jumping puzzle in the warehouse laden with the trip wires. I remember the ominous music starting up and you're just like "oh ****."
Judge Hades
I would like FPS games a lot more if I could toggle them into the third person. Edited September 1, 2006 by Judge Hades
alanschu
Why did you quote a post from a completely different thread?
Judge Hades
I didn't. Where the hell did that come from?!?!? More why I guess than where. EDIT: Fixed. man, that was weird. Edited September 1, 2006 by Judge Hades

Pidesco
I haven't played it. I got the impression it's just your typical, garden variety shooter. Am I wrong? Hell Kitty
I haven't played it. I got the impression it's just your typical, garden variety shooter. Am I wrong? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you've played any of the AAA PC FPS, I wouldn't bother. Halo has the most annoying level I've ever played through in a shooter. And then the final level was some rubbish obstacle course. Blergh. The rest of the game was okay but entirely forgettable.
alanschu
The copy and paste school of level design was an excellent idea!!!! I actually enjoyed the last level, though I played it on the PC and it would have been infinitely cooler if my friend could join in and play the game as well! Musopticon?
Playing Halo on PC, alone is a brain dead idea. That game was practically built on console controllers and co-op. First five times it was utter bliss to blast(and even sneak on some levels) through the thing with a friend. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. alanschu
The game itself played fine (better IMO) with mouse and keyboard. But yeah, I wanted coop. But I had heard good things about the game. All in all I enjoyed it, just not the repeated level design crap.
Musopticon?
Library was just bad, yeah. I mean, sure it's fun to take on a flood of Flood(narf) on Legendary(we always played Legendary), but there's really nothing memorable or unique(like flying or base assault or two front war between Covenant and Flood or team mates) in Library, even the Sentinels were rather lame. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Lyric Suite
I would like FPS games a lot more if I could toggle them into the third person. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What for? You can't play those games in third person...
Xard
Indeed. FPS= FIRST person shooter How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
Petay
Hades' mind is twisted by RPG's and wants to play everything like one. FPS' sure wouldn#t work like that.
Calax
the reason I asked was because Halo is essenially a dumb version of Halflife... I think game informer said it best when they stated during one of their april fools jokes "Halo revolutionizes first person shooters.... if you've had your head in your *** for the last 10 years with the pc."
