Musopticon?
I met this guy in the Tseno that kept laughing about my apparent lack of musical taste. I agreed that listening to music that hollers on the background is not really listening, you could just as well listen to recorded noise. Then I noticed that he wears a U2 tour shirt. Yeah, whatever. Darth Drabek
Yeah, I got the "big" Eels CD, Beautiful Freak, from the library. So far I like it. They actually have like six Eels albums at the library. Go figure. Anyway, I just got back from a party thrown by a friend of mine. And just when I had gone a few days without listening to any Afghan Whigs or Twilight Singers, he played exclusively that stuff at this party. When I fall back into that stuff, I fall back hard. He and his g/f went to the show with me back in May and some other random dude who was in attendance was rocking out pretty hard too. He had a Lollapalooza '92 shirt, so he was cool in my book as soon as I saw him, haha. Anyway, The Afghan Whigs - Bulletproof baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Yeah, Beautiful Freak is their biggest success, but that's more because of the accessability of it (and the timing; when it was released anything even slightly alternative was bound to be successful). Personally, I recommend Electro-Shock Blues. I least recommend Shootenanny!, which was written and recorded in ten days which shows.
