Moose Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 A more important thing everyone should be celebrating today is "Transformer's Day". 365 days to go before the film! (No prizes for guessing the entire storyline before hand though... damn yanks). There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts
thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I started a Dominion Day thread. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Where? Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Nartwak Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Here in this subforum. It was last year and I deleted it due to disorderly Canadian conduct.
thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 That's a shame. Petay Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Happy Independence day all you Americano's! And Happy self-birthday to myself for tomorrow Edited July 4, 2006 by Petay
Surreptishus Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Birthday threads - personal ones - are pretty lame IMO. However Petay, would it hurt not to get one? Oh and happy 4th of July and stuff.
thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I think he was hinting that one of us should make a thread about it. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 *wink* *wink* Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. Surreptishus Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Thats what I thought (Petay hinting) . The thing is those kinds of threads are excessively lame. BTW no offence to Petay, I'm not saying I hate Petay's potential birthday thread. I just hate them all equally. Edited July 4, 2006 by Surreptishus
Petay Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Really, I agree too Sur, I mean what's the point in making a thread, where everyone is just going to say the same thing? Pointless if you ask me, unless derailment is involved of course.
thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Well, a Petay birthday thread can't be any worse than any of chos echo's recent threads. Dark Moth Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 'Sup Petay. Long time, no see. Also, back on topic, plz?
thepixiesrock Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Asking to go back on topic just makes us want to go more off topic. kirottu Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Happy Birthday Petay. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Petay Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Thanks kirottu . If I tell the truth Mothman, I did actually miss some of the banter here, and the general community, so have come back from being a light lurker to my former status. Now, back on-topic if you please!
Cantousent Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 If you find birthday threads lame, don't participate in them. I'm not a huge fan of such threads, but I usually post once, maybe twice, and then forget about them. As far as the Dominion Day v Independence Day... so? Maybe the folks from Canada don't care. Maybe they do. In either case, folks may feel free to participate in this thread or not. If no-one cares, then the thread won't last long. I suppose, like Mothman, I care about celebrating the fourth of July. On the other hand, I also tend to celebrate cinco de mayo with friends. It's not the same thing to me, but I wouldn't care if someone made a thread about it in the forum. So, happy fourth of July! Colrom Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 "On Sept. 13, 1814, Francis Scott Key visited the British fleet in Chesapeake Bay to secure the release of Dr. William Beanes, who had been captured after the burning of Washington, DC. The release was secured, but Key was detained on ship overnight during the shelling of Fort McHenry, one of the forts defending Baltimore. In the morning, he was so delighted to see the American flag still flying over the fort that he began a poem to commemorate the occasion. First published under the title As dark is the absence of light, so evil is the absence of good. If you would destroy evil, do good. Evil cannot be perfected. Thank God.
thepixiesrock Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Seriously, is there anyone who is American and didn't alread know that story? LadyCrimson Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 4th of July...little before dark...good time to see movie in terms of crowds, or not? “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Judge Hades Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I don't particularly like the United States. If you take a good look at our history, it is a long bloody road built on misery, pain, and genocide. Happy 4th of July indeed.
