Volourn Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 (edited) NWC tried to trick me. (and everyone else).... The link doesn't lead to the official chat; but you have to enter another chat room. Hehe. :D Edited June 1, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Dark_Raven Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 How misleading. But it matters not, not much being said about it any way. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Some good stuff being said, and it's not all that dififcult to figure out.... unless you are slow like me... " DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Jumjalum Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 Yeah, nothing much new but it's cool hearing about the VFX editor and toolset. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.

StillLife Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Wow, I have to admit many of the things they mentioned have peaked my interest in the game quite a bit. If only slashing my wrists still didn't seem preferable to playing another FR game.
Judge Hades Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 The Forgotten Realms... The most over used setting in DnD. I would think they would try to do a decent job on the other settings but nope. ToEE sucked and DDO is superficially Ebberon.
Volourn Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 (edited) It's not overused. It's the best D&D setting, and people still want to play it so it's far from overused. Overused means it's been used too much. I beg to differ. It hasn't been used enough - epsicially since there is large parts of the Realms still rather untouched. There's more to the Realms than just the area between Icewind Dale, and The Sword Coast. Edited June 1, 2006 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Cantousent Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I'm not a big FR fan, but I'd think a good game is a good game regardless of setting. It's all about what you do with the setting that matters. Ellester Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I find the FR's comfortable. It's not that exciting, but I've played plenty of games in the setting and have become knowledgeable of the setting. So I enjoy the setting because of the familiarity. Life is like a clam. Years of filtering crap then some bastard cracks you open and scrapes you into its damned mouth, end of story. - Steven Erikson

Musopticon? Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I prefer setting that leave me in wonder. FR just makes me go "right, dungeons." kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Atreides Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 A wonderous dungeon is fine too. Spreading beauty with my katana.

ramza Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Has anything been said about the possibility for the player to choose whether he can get max HP at level up or not? There was an icon you could click upon in the options menu of the IWD games for that purpose. Will they do the same in NWN2? I am really looking forward to that feature as it was absent from NWN1. Volourn Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 (edited) "I am really looking forward to that feature as it was absent from NWN1." Actually, I believe, if you play on easy or normal in NWN1, you get max hit points automatically. Can't say for sure as I always play on hardcore... I'm sure NWN2 will, at minimum, offer that.
