astr0creep Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Not really a movie but since BSG was mentionned... I've been discoverin' the new Dr. Who. Just watched S01E06-Dalek. Fantastic episode! I'm unfamilliar with the original but I like this show a lot. And somehow my english speak is now tainted with a slight British accent. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Surreptishus Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Pink panther... the steve martin one He's no Sellers but it could have been a mildly entertaining kids movie if it had no reference to Viagra in it.
Darth Launch Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I just watched "Lashou Shentan" (or "Hard Boiled" for most of you monkeys). I've seen it before, and it was just as brilliant this time as it was the last Hooray for cute Chinese babies...: ... and Tony Leung! Yay!: OO-TINI!

Pidesco Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Evolution. Surprisingly awesome. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Judge Hades Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 And somehow my english speak is now tainted with a slight British accent. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I grew up watching Doctor Who. A lot of people say I have a weird accent.
metadigital Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 No, that's just weird, without the accent. ^_^ OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Kor Qel Droma Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Well I just sat through the Ringer. I have to say my expectations were really low. That's good, because they were totally exceeded. I won't call it a great movie by any means, but it was still very well done. I give it a rating of seven Jussi Markkenens out of ten Dwayne Rolosons. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
metadigital Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Is that good? " I just watched the remake of Poseidon, with Kurt Russell and Richard Drefus ... and was impressed (again I didn't have high expectations, considering the first one wasn't terribly good, although it had Gene Hackman). Finally a disaster film that doesn't demonise people: it was just plain bad luck that the catastrophe happened, and everyone did what they could / should throughout the "adventure" ... it only became a little fondue towards the end ... but I really liked what happened to Valentino ... julianw Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 ^All I remember from the film was the fact that the girl from another disaster film the Day after Tomorrow was also in this one and had a lot of teenage angst since she couldn't get laid; and there was lots and lots of water...
Shryke Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 just watched Candy random movie about junkies and stuff nothing spectacular, but it had its moments when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!

Not completely surprising, considering that Kurt and Richard helped bulk up the troop ... OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Fenghuang Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 (edited) Clockwork Orange, Midnight Showing at Del Oro. This movie had more boobs and vaginas in it than any I'd ever seen that wasn't porn. I guess the dialogue and stuff was good too, kind of out there for me. But what's up with me being carded and the fifteen year old girl who I was with...not. What's up with that?!! Plano Skywalker Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 recently saw The Omen (the remake that is now at cinema). I thought it was very good....it was, essentially, very faithful to the original and possibly better than the original.

metadigital Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 It cannot be better than the original, because the original had Gregory Peck. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Baley Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Haven't seen either movie but a Liev Schreiber trumps a Gregory Peck. Yeah. Though mostly because of this.
karka Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Metal: A Headbanger's Journey Great documentary film.
