SteveThaiBinh Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Are Dragon Age and Mass Effect really on for 2006? "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 True enough. End up being a big list if I did that. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Gabrielle Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Oblivion Neverwinter Nights 2 Gothic 3. Never played the first two, I saw a preview of G3 in a magazine and it looks good.
Judge Hades Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Never played Gothic 1 but Gothic 2 sucked majorly. I plan on getting Oblivion and Neverwinter Nights 2 but beyond that I don't see any other games I am looking forward to for 2006. Dragon Age will be more than likely released in 2007 or 2008.
Judge Hades Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I am considering getting Dungeon Siege 2 or Guild Wars to hold me over til NWN 2 but I think I might just leech off those 14 day trials of all the MMORPGs out their instead.
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Going to add this to my list. http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/produc...le=chromehounds Don't even have the 360 yet. But if the game meets expectations I'll buy one to play it. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327

Llyranor Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hmm, let's see. NWN2. I'm expecting a good campaign, but it's mostly for the toolset more than anything. Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday + Europa Universalis 3. Grand strategy games don't throw twitch into the mix. <3 Tactica Online: Turn-based tactical goodness? Yes, please. Red Orchestra: Ostfront. Tactical teamplay emphasizing proper communication/coordination? Yes, please. Armed Assault + "Operation Flashpoint 2". Coop And whatever the Combat Mission series churns out. Awesome tactical series, that. Sins of a Solar Empire. A 4X game in real-time. It'd be interesting to see how this one pans out. Supreme Commander. I'm a bit more skeptical about this one at this point, since it'd be the one that approches the standard RTS the most, but hopefully the scope of the map/game will make it irrelevant. Either way, a coop campaign means plenty of fun. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

Hurlshort Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Jagged Alliance 3. Unless it sucks...which is a high probability. Isn't Turbine releasing a LotR MMO this year? If it's like Asheron's Call, then I'll be happy. If it's like AC2, then I won't. Oh, the WoW expansion...still curious what the new race is.

Best of all, free online play. It's 2006, and already see immense potential. (Yes, even ripping that slot from Chrono Cross...). Now, that's interesting <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never though it would happen... Certainly not 6 years later. Opps, got another one: Disgaea 2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still got to get my hands on the first, but it looks interesting. Edited March 10, 2006 by Haitoku

BattleCookiee Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I would say Dungeon Siege2 yes and Guild Wars no... but that is just me

metadigital Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Probably in this rough order, with the lower ranks subject to change and omission: Half-Life 2 - Episode 1 (formerly known as Aftermath), hopefully there will be another episode before the end of the year, too ... Neverwinter Nights 2 Bioshock Spore Splinter Cell: Double Agent Tomb Raider: Legend (still a sucker for a good franchise) Oblivion (after someome reliable tells me it is not the same as Morrowind) Duke Nukem Forever Alan Wake Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday KotOR: TSL Gizka Restoration (kudos Grom) Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Final Fantasy XII (if it comes out for the PC) Dragon Age Fallout 3 Medieval 2:Total War Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Ancient Wars: Sparta Gothic III Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone Neverend Pathologic UberSoldier Has anyone played Galactic Civilizations II: The Dread Lords?
