vrook? he went down with one hit

Not for me, he didn't. My Exile just was not ready to face him. I still sometimes find that my character is seriously out of balance with him and have to hide behind the bushes to recuperate.

The answer for the first playthrough would be the twin Twilek assassins (vs. Atton), because I hadn't prepared Atton to do anything except act as support for me. Never made that mistake again, though.

Every other time was Vrook, when I was DS.

And sometimes when LS, too. :D

they all were pretty easy for me. at times you just have to use the hit and run tactic. that is pretty good on most things anyway. and if you have two other npcs that are great, use them. any npc will work anyway.

Goes by the planet order you choose. I believe the 1st planet after Dantooine is Calo Nord, and the second is Darth Bandon.

I'm sure you get Calo on your first planet and Bandon on your third.

Fighting Bandon on Korriban always seems odd to me. First off, if Malak's apprentice was on Korriban at least someone would have mentioned him to me. Second, after a while one of the Sith is going to find the body, or notice he's missing!

I tend to do it on Manaan or Kashyyk (sp?) and I tend to bring Bastilla along.

Malak was a hard one to defeat. He kept re-energizing himself with those Jedi in the tanks. It took me a couple of reloads before I beat him the first time I played the game.

I always had to revert to the grenade, (medpac) heal, grenade, heal, etc tactic to defeat him once my FP ran out.

just steal the floaters from him and he is screwed, his attacks were viscious though. too bad my attacks didn't look that sweet ;)

That is what I ended up doing. I would try and ignore him in a fight right away and go after his source of new energy.

The KotOR tool can be used to made a boss tougher.

I made Darth Nihilus a 100 CON, 70 STR, 70 DEX, 70 WIS monster with all DS powers and all Sith prestige class feats. :- But I quess I made him *slightly* too powerful (he dealt with every hit 300-400 damage and I don't want even to think about his vitality and defence) :o

I also made Sion much stronger and, unlike Nihilus, balanced. The duel with him was qute callenging and long.
