That was my favorite part. I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, I'm not saying you all didn't, it's just that at one point, each one of you were in that postition, and now everyone is just saying, "If you don't have to, why should I?" The first crusade was a response to a call for help from the Byzantine Emperor Alexius I Comnenus. By that time, Muslims had been conquering and repressing Jews and Christians throughout much of the Middle East. About my wording, that was a poor choice of words on my part, and you're right. Unfortunately, Islam does provide justification for waging war in Allah's name. Sura 9:5 - "...fight and slay the Pagans whever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)." Sura 9:29 - "Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden Which hath been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. Way more often than not, they degenerate into a bunch of people hurling insults at each other, making statements without backing them up, and not convincing anybody of anything.
