Jorian Drake Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy (i hope i write it right, have seen it in Hungarian and not sure of real name how to write it ) LOVED it, and i already loved the book before it ages ago :D
Nartwak Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Close enough jorian. This isn't exactly rocket surgery here. The last movie I've seen was Sky High, which was entertaining enough but I think I'm glad I didn't see it in a theatre.
Surreptishus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Did you ever get round to seeing Serenity, Nartwak?
Nartwak Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) No, not yet. It wasn't in my local theatres on my birthday, and I haven't gotten around to buying it. I have seen some more episodes of Firefly though, and I've liked what I've seen. Edit: Holy **** Firefly's on right ****ing now! There's a goddamn mini marathon! I've missed half of it! Edit 2: Argh. I've missed nearly all of it. Edited January 6, 2006 by Nartwak
Surreptishus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 All work and no play makes Gabs a crazy ...so and so
Gabrielle Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 It's a great movie that still makes me jump and cringe at some scenes. Like when Jack goes into that room where he kisses that good looking woman that turns into a cadavar.
Surreptishus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 The wife is annoying, she should have died.
Gabrielle Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 The wife is annoying, she should have died. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She was a wuss with no backbone.
Surreptishus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 OMG thats is exactly what the film is like!!
Darth Launch Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I just introduced my parents to "The Big Lebowski" :D ^_^ OO-TINI!
Bokishi Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Ok, who's gonna watch Brokeback Mountain? Current 3DMark
Baley Posted January 7, 2006 Author Posted January 7, 2006 As soon as it hits theatres. Autumn Sonata Psycho
julianw Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Ok, who's gonna watch Brokeback Mountain? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anybody seen it? Is it worth the ticket? I heard the movie is even turning some viewers gay. Must be some powerful stuff.
Nartwak Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 No. They were gay before they went to the movie theatre. Some would say homosexuality is not a learned behavior.
Bokishi Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Oh yeah I heard at the end of the film they hypnotize you and all the viewers walk out of the theatre saying "I like men" I like men" Current 3DMark
Volourn Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 "The Shining (the original Kubrick film)" The second one was better. Much better. the original is well liked because of one line. The wife was horrible in that one, and Steven Weber did a much better job that Nicholson (though Nicholson is a better actor overall). Henceforth, the REAL 'The Shining' by Stephen King is the best The Shining movie. Undisputable. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Some would say homosexuality is not a learned behavior. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I see your point though I am sure there are others who disagree that homosexuality is purely biological since any genetic traits connected with homosexuality has a severe disadvantage to be passed onto the next generation and survive. Evolution is not on the side of homosexuality. Perhaps the film merely encouraged more people to come out of the closet. Edited January 7, 2006 by julianw
LadyCrimson Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 They're not movies, but I just finished watching the Sci-Fi Friday lineup. Not bad, especially Gallactica. “Things are as they are.
