ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted July 6, 2005 Author Posted July 6, 2005 Seems likely they will drop her like a hot potato more trouble than she is worth and definately not a big enough name or a good enough actress to put up with the sort of crap Didn't I already say that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You might have. It was just a based on new evidence thing. I mean I wouldnt want to employ someone who was being stalked by a scientology nut. Although if they did fire could she claim religious descrimination because it? I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
alanschu Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Well, they did mention a desire for a stronger female lead. Plus, I don't think she's under contract, so it's not "firing," it just not rehiring
EnderAndrew Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 And religious discrimination would be really hard to prove.
alanschu Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Yeah, don't you have to be a real religion? I took a course on non-criminal deviance at University, and part of what we studied was Scientology. I don't remember the details, but I remember it being pretty absurd and damned hilarious how it came to be.
EnderAndrew Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Hubard admitted it was a joke, and people still took it seriously. If I recall Dianetics suggests that we were created by Aliens who are coming back.
213374U Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Just saw it today. Good stuff. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
alanschu Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Hey Ender, I was thinking about choices for female lead... Maybe because she's already been in a superhero movie, but what do you think about someone like Jennifer Garner?
The Elite_elite Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 "Batman Begins" I'm sorry, what is this the 100th Batman movie ever made? Come on, when are they going to stop making batman movies?
213374U Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Actually, according to Ender, this is not the 100th, but the 12th. And as long as the movies they make are the same quality as this one, I really don't care when they will stop. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Oerwinde Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 "Batman Begins" I'm sorry, what is this the 100th Batman movie ever made? Come on, when are they going to stop making batman movies? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Obviously you haven't seen the film. Either that or you don't like Batman. Batman Begins is a reference to A)Them restarting the franchise, and B)Its an origin movie. And I thought this was only the 6th Batman movie... I guess if you count the animated ones it pumps the number up. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

alanschu Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Batman Begins is an excellent all round movie. It's easily the best superhero movie I have ever seen.
Calax Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 yeah and it's got a dead jedi in it... Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
EnderAndrew Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I like Jennifer Garner. She is a good actress. In Alias she often has to deal with ridiculous situations and she makes them seem plausible. I've liked her in everything I've seen her in, and it doesn't hurt that she is hot. Batman Begins is not only a good superhero movie, it is a good movie overall. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, you should. It is one of the best movies of the year.
alanschu Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 My pick for THE best movie of the year. And I agree, Jennifer Garner is both attractive and talented. I haven't seen it, but I hear she was the only redeeming thing in Electra.
EnderAndrew Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I've yet to see Electra. I didn't hate Daredevil like most people. I thought it was a passable movie that I didn't expect much from. With the same attitude, I may not mind an Electra rental.
alanschu Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I liked the darker atmosphere of Daredevil. Essentially, he was a vigilante and murderer. Plus, the people he fights aren't stupid....he gets unmasked quite a bit (perhaps too much), which is a refreshing change. Although bullseye was a bit much.
EnderAndrew Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I've never read any Daredevil comics. I was tempted to pick up Kevin Smith's run, but I was told that the ending only makes sense to longtime readers.

Diogo Ribeiro Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I found it funny how Matt Murdock is supposed to protect his identity, but then fights as a blind lawyer in a playground filled with kids in a typical street. Worst way ever of protecting his identity and hiding his powers. That's the kind of thing that just made the movie laughable to me.
EnderAndrew Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 What made the movie laughable was how lound sounds were really painful for him, but when he first wakes up he blasts a stereo.
Darth Flatus Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 what made it funny is that we saw affleck's true "spaz" face in the film.
