KotOR2 is like one of those really exciting books that you just can't put down... except that the final 7 chapters never made it to print and instead some guy scribbled down a basic summary of what happens on the last pages, mentioning a few of his favorite scenes and completely forgetting about other, more important ones.

To expand on your analogy, K2 is like a huge, beautifully wrapped gift on your birthday. To get the most satisfaction, you carefully untie the bow and maticulously unwrap the gift, so as not to rip the paper. Underneath the wrapper is a the box for that AT-AT you've always wanted (you've got to be a child of the 80s to understand that part).
