Stargate: 2000
The option to put ones hood up and down would also be nice ..... actually I guess having a robe with a hood would be a nice first step <_< . jim[beam]
I'd like to see lightsaber forms for the people I made jedi in TSL + Force channeling. I had to wait for minutes for Handmaiden/Mira/Atton/Bao Dur to have their force pool full again. Maybe different features for different classes with ofcourse the cross skill class options. As for engines: I'd rather have the Doom 3 engine over the HL2 engine and in any case the Unreal Engine with Doom 3 shadows. Can you imagine D3 engine made shyrack caves or visiting the Tombs on Korriban using that same engine? Finishing off (lightside) or helping (darkside) the Czerka company like it was intended in part 1 plus the droid factory (I have a feeling GOTO is the owner of the HK droid facility) would be a big wish of many I think. Sleyeheron in the game would be nice too..maybe see the chick from KOTOR1 there trying to free the slaves...ofcourse you can choose to help her or influence her to stop with what she's doing and reconvert her to the darkside heh though I believe Kreia said she was killed in KOTOR1 by Revan. The Mandalorian storyline should be clearer. I think Revan asked Canderous to make a new army just like Revan asked Carth to keep the republic strong for the threat to come. I'd like that storyline finished. It should be easier to get a lightsaber...preferably from the start and I sure as hell dont want to start off with amnesia again. 3 x in a row is a little much eh. NPC's my list would be the following: Jolee Bindo Carth Bastila Hanharr (wookie rage just pwnz) Mira Visas Mandalore HK-47 (if there is a droidplanet I'd like to see what dialogue he'd have hehe) The Exile and Revan That is all I can think of for now. -jim
Carrie
I know someone mentioned the random loot generator, it's been much talked about, but the basic thing it needs for K3 is this: "Classing" of loot objects. We should only get Force user type items from force users, for example. Not Baran Do robes or such from random Sith troopers Also, there should be another modifier to the system, in terms of class/location of container. Check container difficulty FIRST!!! The one thing that really pissed me off about KotOR II's random object system was that far too many times, I'd have to pass two security rolls (the door and the container), and essentially get less stuff from said container than I did from one sitting right out unlocked in the open. A locked container in a locked room should have far more than 2 medpacs, or one class 1 stimulant! It should have a /lot/ higher quality stuff, to justify being locked up that well. ><FISH'>
Yes this current engine is 50% of what makes KOTOR what it is to me, I would never ever want some sort of first person shooter engine. Upgrades sure, freshen up the engine and all, but no new engine. I would never buy KOTOR 3 if it was made on the Halo engine, I dislike Halo 1 and 2 a lot. I've bought them both to see what the big fuss is all about, and I still haven't found out, they are two of the most boring first person shooters I've ever played. Perfect Dark and Goldeneye still kicks the crap out of them. I'm tired of seeing people worship two games that do not deserve fame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well said...i agree 100% all i really expect from k3 is more evil looking DS faces (not just plain ugly) and the fighting styles having different stances (not so fussed on anims) plus the random loot gen should be restricted a little.....i got 5 exar kun light battle armor in the game (3 on the ravager) and 1 on malacor. bob_the_kitty_hunter
Finishing off (lightside) or helping (darkside) the Czerka company like it was intended in part 1 plus the droid factory (I have a feeling GOTO is the owner of the HK droid facility) would be a big wish of many I think. I'd have to say that Goto is likely dead, what with the planet being destroyed and all, and Goto being there upon its destruction. Not to mention the cut part where HK-47 and his new HK-50 friends deactivate him. Of course, that was cut with the factory, and probably the droid planet. M4-7B or M4-78 I believe. In fact, there are several folders of stuff concerning them in the VO stuff, but it was all just one set of dialogues, of a droid that takes care of some factory on the planet. *shrugs* Anyways, I like most of the ideas, minus the new engine. But as someone had said, it's bound to end up getting a couple of other sequels after part III, until profits for that run out. Part III is probably a more or less conclusion, and anything beyond that is probably just some stupid stuff that people will dislike a lot. JamieKirby
The only things i am miffed with is that the glow doesn't work on ATI cards and when i try the trick of copying the 'atioglxx.dll file from 4.3 drivers into the Kotor II directory, it just goes to a blank screen and it only works after i delete it from the directory. The Developers said that all known ATI issues were fixed by them or ATI and since this was happening with Kotor I, this issue is VERY well known....and yet, it isn't fixed. Carrie
Never seen an old parody movie of 'news' and information from totaltarian governments? The ones where the newscaster/whoever has a gun to their head to make sure they say the 'right' thing? LucasArts execs are the ones holding the gun, in this case. In the form of a legion of cloned lawyers, waiting to drown Obsidian into bankruptcy with litigation if they said anything negative.
ArtifexExLumina
Good luck to the design team on KOTOR III. I think it would be interesting to see an upgraded StarForge that is more or less a prototype for the Death Star. Hopefully the background story can be like the last stand of a huge Sith army led by the Sith'Ari (as mentioned in KOTOR I). Maybe some of the planets mentioned in KOTOR I & II like Sleheyron. Kreia also mentions that someday the Onderonians may no longer even be referred to as that. Maybe their world could be obliterated by the Sith'Ari and they are forced to colonize Naboo. Their culture seems to resemble the Naboo to a degree. Ord Mantell would be an interesting planet to explore. Hmmm, where there any more worlds that the Sith were obsessed with like Korriban. Other than this, let us please have Coruscant in the 3rd installment. How fascinating it would be to find out what Kreia meant by the Jedi Temple being empty and how this was caused. As for characters, it would be great to bring Revan and the Exile back, but exactly how difficult would that in order to retain the story's continuity? Male or female? Take your pick. Mandelore would be great to have back as well as T3-M4 and HK-47. I like the idea of the droid world (or factory where HK's are built), just make sure you get a lightsaber before that part. As for NPC's, I'll trust the design team, but having characters from both games at least having some cameos would be stellar. Viva LucasArts, Obsidian and whoever designs KOTOR III! :D
DoubleX
I can understand why people would want to have Revan and the Exile in their parties, but it wouldn't quite work, I don't think. Revan took a good chunk of the Republic defense force with him into the Unknown Regions, and the Exile went with T3 in the Ebon Hawk. That doesn't leave much room to start anywhere near Revan or the Exile. While Revan and the Exile are both characters people have gotten attached to, if you're going to play the third in a trilogy, it'd be more suited to have a new character to play as for the third game. If you want to play as Revan or the Exile, play KOTORI or KOTORII. A new game should have a new PC. Of course, Revan and the Exile would have to make an appearance in KOTORIII if it's made, with their storyline wrapped up. One thing I'd like (which KOTORII did in a small way) is for your actions to have repercussions on the story later in the game. In KOTORII, you set Revan's gender and alignment in a semi-casual conversation with Atton. What I'd like is for things you say or do in the game change the outcome of the story, with maybe doing one certain string of events turning the Exile on Revan or vice versa. Praetorian
I can't believe some people here want to keep the current graphics engine kor KIII! Just look at some of those awful lo-poly NPC's you get running around waving thier arms in the air, or the complete eyesores that Citadel Station, Peragus and Malachor were. Infact, most of the KII levels were plain cheesy compared to the environments in K1. Without a brand new engine or a severe overhaul KIII is not going to be able to compete with the other games on the 360. One of the things I would like to see for KIII is improved cloth animation - robes/hair blowing about in the wind, or still if inside a structure. Bump mapping: to bring the textures to life. Real physics: Force pushing an opponent into some crates/cylinders, seing them topple all over the place. Animation: Movie-like duels, effects and fighting styles. Xard
Yeah, in KIII they should use Electron. Just look those pics from NWN2! O_o OMG! But for that I need new computer, and for new computer I need money, and for money I need some way to get them, and some way to get them could be work, but then I should find work too etc. Aww man, I hate this capitalistic money money money needed to anything. Crap (and I need that fricking money [mumnle] what about robbing a babk[/mumble]) How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
