  1. The entire KOTOR2 folder no longer exists on my hard drive, and still the install error comes up. So it's not any mods in the Override folder, since it doesn't exist. Through some research the problem seems to be a scratched disc, and when I look at the disc itself I can see two decent size scratches on it. I'm going to borrow a friend's CD and see if that works. If it doesn't I'll post again here.
  2. So I installed a mod that added M4-78 to the game, just to give it a shot. It was a bit half-baked so I decided to get rid of it. The instructions for uninstall were a bit hard to understand, and I wasn't sure specifically what to do and didn't want to screw up the other game files, so I decided to uninstall the whole game and reinstall, which is what I did last time I installed a sizeable mod that I wanted to get rid of. I'm reinstalling and get this: I tried installing again in safe mode (which is when I took the screenshot) and the same thing happened. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. To add to this, you can also buy the Droid Processor from 1B-8D on Onderon. I've done it before. I think you're meant to, so that way you get all the pieces from different planets, otherwise you get two of the pieces in the same place.
  4. When I'm playing a Light Side character I typically go to Dantooine first, not only for the name crystal, but also because of the fact that you can buy any of the base colour crystals from that salvager woman, and sometimes a Jedi Robe, so yeah. As Dark Side, Nar Shaddaa is good first, so that you get Hanharr and HK-47 early on, but it's actually the most difficult planet to do first since if you don't have two Jedi party members at that point, beating Goto's Yacht is harder than usual. I also sometimes go to Dxun first when I'm Dark Side, since that allows you plenty of levels without having to fight any of the masters. Korriban also offers the same thing, but you don't get any party members and there's less to do, and thus less level opportunities (unless you have massive patience and exploit the hell out of the Hssiss bug in the cave).
  5. To be more specific, the place you have to take her is near the entrance to the entertainment sector thing (the place with the cantina and the pazaak den). Then she asks you "Why are we stopping?" and you go from there. If you follow the Light Side path of conversation here, making her a Jedi, there's a LS point to be had too.
  6. You need to unlock the Training Room door. There's a console somewhere in the academy that you have to go to, and do the Level One Written Test, which gives you five questions, and you have to answer three or more of them correctly. Once you do that you can open the Training Room. Once you've done that you'll find your way through the rest of the academy.
  7. No, actually, if you kill them on the surface you can go back to Grenn, tell him what happened, and he'll give you the bounty for them and close the quest. It is bugged, however, in that sometimes even after seeing them bail from Lorso's office, they don't show up on Telos' surface. There is a fix for it, though, that you can download from various places (like team-gizka.org).
  8. Kreia says that he infused his knowledge of lightsaber construction into said holocron, but she also says that Hord's tomb was one of the first to be plundered, and that it is likely that no-one knows where the holocron is. And that's all that's said about it.
  9. It's not a problem with your game. Said rifle is more cut content, in that it only exists as a file outside the game, and has no spawn points in the game. You can get it by cheating, but that's it. What!? Pacifist package? I've got to see this... I tried loading a savegame after I stabilized Onderon and going to the Not-Male Female Rodian with HK, but nothing happened... WHAT MUST I DOOOO!!!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You need to have stabilised both Dantooine and Onderon before you can get the Pacifist Package. Once you've done that, buy it from the Rodian (Geeda I think), and talk to HK-47 with it in your inventory. There's an option to install it, and then just go from there.
  10. Yeah, the leader of the new faction controls an Eclipse-class SSD, complete with the superlaser. Quite awesome, if you ask me.
  11. The only time Y-Wings ever use their ion cannons against smaller craft is during the Rebel campaign. Otherwise their only real use is against Acclamators, Victorys, ISDs and space stations. Anything smaller, it's just pointless.
  12. To separate a fleet, zoom in on the planet that the fleet is on and, as Bokishi said, drag the ships you want to move to another fleet into one of the other orbit slots. As for seeing what you have in all the galaxy, go to the Droid Log, which can be found near the R2 droid in the bottom left hand corner of the Galactic screen.
  13. The random loot generator sometimes drops one, or gives you a cyan lightsaber at one of the lightsaber spawn points. It's a bugged crystal if you haven't downloaded a mod to fix it, though; if you ever enter a new area with a single blade cyan saber, it looks like the blade's out, but it isn't, so you need to hit X (or fight someone) to make it disappear again. Personally, Guardian Blue is my kind of colour, but the Fire Orange one also looks quite nice. Blue for single, orange for double is my kind of colour set up.
  14. There is siding with Geeda and having done/doing either Dantooine or Onderon and a Silver crystal can be bought. There is also in the treasure room just beyond the place where you meet Kavar on Onderon the second time you are there. Repair the key code and the door opens, one of the containers has a lightsaber, a silver crystal and a random other crystal. It tends to be a purple short lightsaber, a silver crystal and a red crystal for me usually. Then there's also the random loot generator, which can give you a silver crystal.
  15. That's the only way I was aware of to get to that stash; nobody stops you if Mandalore's in your party. Never thought of using stealth. Might try that at some point.
  16. "Apathy is death!" I would've picked 1, but that's just me.
  17. Usually I like to have 2 BTC's ready to go; right now I have one. They go up whenever, really. Ah, OK. Thanks for that. I'd give you half my soul, but I just sold it to some red guy with horns, a tail and a pitchfork. Forgot to catch his name though. Sorry about that.
  18. Quick query for the team: It's been about a month since the last WIP update. Are those going to be once a month, or just when you guys feel like it?
  19. I can understand why people would want to have Revan and the Exile in their parties, but it wouldn't quite work, I don't think. Revan took a good chunk of the Republic defense force with him into the Unknown Regions, and the Exile went with T3 in the Ebon Hawk. That doesn't leave much room to start anywhere near Revan or the Exile. While Revan and the Exile are both characters people have gotten attached to, if you're going to play the third in a trilogy, it'd be more suited to have a new character to play as for the third game. If you want to play as Revan or the Exile, play KOTORI or KOTORII. A new game should have a new PC. Of course, Revan and the Exile would have to make an appearance in KOTORIII if it's made, with their storyline wrapped up. One thing I'd like (which KOTORII did in a small way) is for your actions to have repercussions on the story later in the game. In KOTORII, you set Revan's gender and alignment in a semi-casual conversation with Atton. What I'd like is for things you say or do in the game change the outcome of the story, with maybe doing one certain string of events turning the Exile on Revan or vice versa.
  20. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, so it depends on what kind of character I'm using. For example, I was playing a Sentinel - Weaponmaster, and due to the Reflect power you get as a Weaponmaster and Expert Deflection Emitters in both sabers, I was able to use Ataru and completely negate the blaster deflection penalty. I tend to use either Soresu or Shien the most though.
  21. To expand on what RR said, the droids were put in place for the colonists who were supposed to arrive at some later date. The Sith showed up and said they were the colonists, and wanted to use the planet for their own nefarious means. Vash and Kaah decided to go and try and put a stop to this. Kaah ended up releasing a toxin that killed all the Sith, but due to them being droids, everything else on the planet survived. The Sith, however, shut down the central droid intelligence, and their last order to the droids before being killed was to never let anyone else turn it back on. That's the basic story. There's more on it here at Wookieepedia.
  22. Yeah, Wookieepedia says that it was Kaah who released the toxin, killing all the Sith on the planet, leaving only the droids and thus making it the droid planet. Yes, I know, Wookieepedia's not the best source, but there's not much other information on M4-78 out there. Is there?
  23. Well I 100% can get them all full length lightsabers, but that would be cheating. Also, for my saber, I never "built" it. Bao-Dur kept telling me I needed a Lens (god the way he said it was iritating, made me want to force slap him!). But after helping Mandalore with everything, right then I "recieved" a Silver Lightsaber? So I've been using it ever since, and the option with Bao-Dur to "create" my saber is gone, so I guess that this is my saber. And I got "my" crystal in it from Dantooine, amongst other upgrades so it is nice and the color that I wanted. But I was "given" my saber at the end of helping Mandalore with everything, I didnt create it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He was telling you that you needed the Lens Fixture part, which you would find on one of the many many Cannoks in the Dxun jungle (I'm guessing you went to Dxun first). Odd, though, that Mandalore didn't give you your last piece. Any other spawn point for a lightsaber gives you the last piece on any other planet.
  24. Just ran into an...interesting...glitch. One of those moments that makes you go "WTF?"
