Kelverin Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Vol's Mod. Number 1 on my list. J1 Visa Southern California Cleaning
EnderAndrew Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Hades doesn't know what he's missing. Nethack allows for more character freedom, and more variety than most RPGs I've ever played. BTW, Welcome to the forums Kelverin. Did you bring donuts?

NeverwinterKnight Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Welcome to the forums :D Anyone who likes Resident Evil is most likely a good poster :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i wont hold that against the poor guy. " :D
EnderAndrew Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 A supposed Atari employee has been saying forever that BG:3 has been in production. I still don't see any annoucement, and I can't think of who could be developing it.

I still don't see any annoucement, and I can't think of who could be developing it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you think that it could be Troika? I had fun with Temple of Elemental Evil, but I just can't see anyone but Bioware able to do BG3 justice. Not to be a fanboy or anything but Bio's BG series is one of my favs of all time Behind the old Gold Box games and the EOB series of course. Still haven't beaten Assault on Myth Drannor yet...maybe soon
EnderAndrew Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Well, Bioware said they don't want to deal with licenses. Troika doesn't appear to be working on any projects right now. But really, I have no clue.
Judge Hades Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Last I heard BG3 was going to be a cellphone game.
Gorth Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 A very short list VMBL (already released, just need to pick it up in the store after the weekend) KOTOR2 (should be around in February) Nothing else on my shopping list List is now even shorter. Looks very bleak for the up and coming winter season... Buy a console :D Honestly, I'm not really tempted to do that. The games that I do like, seems to end up on PC anyway (and I got a high end system). Of couse, I wouldn't mind if they did a decent PC port of the Resident Evil games... “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Darque Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Actually RE, RE2 and RE3 were all released on PC
Gorth Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Actually RE, RE2 and RE3 were all released on PC I tried RE a long time ago... sorry, but it played (and looked) pretty awful on a PC. I sort of imagine that it would have looked better on a TV and definitely played a lot better with a game pad (not the rather awkward keyboard layout that couldn't be remapped) I haven't given RE2 and RE3 a try, but I "suspect" they would have similar issues. Thats why I think a decent port would be nice “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Gorth Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Just buy a Gamecube :D My little brother has one. Perhaps I should get him a few games for his birthday... :D “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. EnderAndrew Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 My only qualm with the Resident Evil titles are the controls. I remember playing the original Resident Evil when it first came out, and I loved it despite the controls, and the horrid voice acting.
Rosbjerg Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 I heard back when Throne of Baal was released .. that it would be the last Baldurs Gate game, but not the last within Forgotten Realms.. I mean what's gonna happen in BG3 ?? without spoiling TOB to much, you kinda finished that game with a grand ending! I mean becoming a God and all! Fortune favors the bald.
213374U Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Use [spoiler ] just like the other tags to hide text. - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
Volourn Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 "still don't see any annoucement," Eh. Atari did announce BG3. Officially. Just no developer officially announced yet. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Baneblade Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 I heard back when Throne of Baal was released .. that it would be the last Baldurs Gate game, but not the last within Forgotten Realms.. I mean what's gonna happen in BG3 ?? without spoiling TOB to much, you kinda finished that game with a grand ending! I mean becoming a God and all! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC.... BG 3, doesn't Continue the Bhaalchild storyline. It was named BG 3, bacause the story happens in and around the city of Baldurs Gate. "If at first you don't succeed... So much for skydiving." - Henry Youngman.
Judge Hades Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Then they should remove the 3 by the name. It should be Baldur's Gate: "Enter Subtitle here"
213374U Posted January 4, 2005 Posted January 4, 2005 Then they should remove the 3 by the name. It should be Baldur's Gate: "Enter Subtitle here" That would actually make it seem closer to the dreadful 'Dark Alliance' series rather than to the original BG saga. We wouldn't want that, now would we? - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast.
