Murdoch hasn't had a role with Sky News (UK) since 2019. It was sold off as part of/ a consequence of the Disney deal. Still owns Sky News Australia though, for what it's worth.

Sky UK is owned by Comcast now, which I guess potentially does make them a globalist media mouthpiece; at least compared to Uncle Rupes.

The main  legitimate criticism towards DEI and similar programs is why cant everyone be hired on merit? It doesnt matter what race or gender you are if you the  best candidate for the job then you should get the job

And then there are real examples of the abuse of DEI and white men end up being discriminated against which is  also  not what DEI is suppose to be about

The issue is that america is so racist, they will not hire on merit anyways. If you're white and rich, you're in. Doesn't matter how incompetent you are. Also there is a lot more to DEI than just hiring people for jobs. Honestly, at current pace, I expect the american gov to start ww2-style euthanasia programs again in a couple months.

Its similar to South Africa and the justification for BEE but it really doesnt make sense in our case because white people make up 7 % and we have a black government 

Im not convinced that is a necessary reason for DEI because what happens when DEI programs themselves  become racist and discriminate against white men?

The actual "anti-DEI" agenda has been about removing references to historical figures who aren't white from gubbermint websites, wiping pages that ping the ctrl+f search for naughty words, removing restrictions on segregation/discrimination from federal contractors, firing teh wimminz and the Black guys, removing the T from LGBT on gubbermint websites, and renaming stuff back to Confederate generals. It's obvious to anyone who hasn't fried their brain on credulous centrism what this is all about and the performative nonsense to give the reactionaries a veneer of respectability is pathetic.

Yes it is true to a certain degree, and the impact is supported through studies. For example:

I dunno what's going on in MAGA-world but my MAGA neighbor has taken down all of their Trump and MAGA signs and posters. They still have a giant American flag and their Jesus stuff up but everything else is gone. I'd ask them but I value my sanity, well, what remains of it.

My little town has had quite a bit of drama lately. For the last 5 years, a MAGA group has been camping out every Friday on a Freeway overpass that leads into town. Traffic is already miserable on Friday, so commuters get a nice look at all their posters as they crawl through the gridlock. Most of the posters are anti-vax and pro Trump stuff. They even have a local celebrity that got arrested on January 6th in the bunch. 

Last Friday, this ended up getting flown:

This caused quite the stir, with people calling them out all over the media, and the Trumpsters crying out that it wasn't them. Yesterday (Thursday) some of the group decided to respond to the flag by flying this:

So today (Friday) there is supposed to be a counter protest, where a bunch of non-MAGA folks go up and confront the MAGA folks. I am sure that will end well. I am sure it will be on the news.

Trumps losing degrees of support from certain MAGA circles because of perceived failures to deliver on certain policies, the Musk relationship and Israel support

Many of the disillusioned MAGA supporters expect certain results immediately, which is unrealistic for any new presidency , and then there is the real annoyance how he ostensibly is  more concerned with MIGA (make Israel great again ) and not MAGA. His targeting of Thomas Massie has also alienated some of his  supporters

So it could be any of these reasons but there is real pushback compared to when he won, its very evident on Codex

My biggest issue with DOGE is the complete lack of transparency. I know that audits can be tight-lipped while in progress (to avoid tipping their hand). However, I think the public should have the expectation that all of the DOGE activities and related actions will be subject to a thorough audit in the near future, once completed. But of course, the Republican-led Congress will try to embed the decisions into future budgets, making it all nice and tidy in the end. Likewise the Whitehouse will keep it hidden. The only hope is for a future Democratic President to open it up, assuming that our democracy survives.

DOGE   is very questionable and specifically the methodology Musk has been adopting 

Many Americans have been saying for years they believe the Federal government is bloated and ineffective but the way Musk is carrying on is not the right way to make legitimate changes

There's something very funny about blaming a Jewish sounding name (assuming they don't mean the senator from New York and can't spell) for doing a false flag to make them look like nazis.

Kinda reminds me of this really pro-Eric Adams article last year that blamed the Gaza protests on George Soros.
