Thanks, this link provides the best way to understand Project 2025 because they have put immense effort into making it easy and using categories and then you can see examples around what exactly  he has done. It really creates the best approach  and way of tracking Project 2025

But I also clarified a few times  what I was saying about Project 2025 and I will explain it again  because its weeks after the last debate

My issue was always how certain media houses were talking about  it and they used a specific image that contained the most controversial  points of Project 2025

Here is the same image that @Pidescoand I posted and my issue was this was a  selective list of Project  2025  and it suggested Trump was going to implement , so go through this list then confirm what Trump has now implemented?

Bob Wade on X: "Go here and download the Project 2025 document. most Conservatives will like, and liberals will probably not like. BTW, the document is in searchable PDF format. https://t.co/UoYfJrZHiG The

But this specific view of Project 2025  is not necessary to understand because your link is the way to do it because it clearly was built for that

So that would be my  suggestion for anyone who has concerns about Project 2025 but now any concerns can tracked and seen if they are real

I appreciate you going through this because now we can discuss what is the issue around some of the points you mentioned, I just want examples because Im not sure what the is  issue about

  • What do they mean by Christian beliefs in public schools, do they mean having a new subject in schools ?
  • Ban African American books? What is an example of a African American books
  • What books would you ban about Slavery, do they mean they will ban the discussion about slavery  in schools as  a subject?
  • What is meant  by condemn single  mothers, would this be speeches. I dont see a single women being concerned with this. I know  lots of single mothers and the last thing they would  be concerned about is some condescending conservative politician who doesn't know them

and there are multiple proposals to increase Christian religious teaching during school hours

Pentagon already removed most of the books that have any mention of slavery, racial discrimination etc. in their schools in military bases and some members of administration have said they want do same in public schools. And public libraries and  school libraries have already started to ban such books in 2021 in many of the states. https://pen.org/book-bans/2023-banned-book-list/

Single parent families especially single mother families have high percentage of people that get SNAP benefits and medicare, and new administration is planning to cut those heavily.

Cutting DEI programs also hurt single parent families as it in many places means cutting daycare services, flexing work time etc.

Thanks, I will go through this because I want to clear if these points are a real issue or its an exaggeration

For example just from a history perspective do US schools not teach the Civil War and the reality of slavery from history ? @Hurlshort

Apartheid for example is an included part of our history perspective because it is part of our history

Of course he was. Trump never made it a secret that he wanted to go after his enemies. The only ones shocked about this are the "he is just joking!"-crowd.

Yes, I would've said it was corrupt if we were transitioning to basically any other administration in U.S. history, but the one that openly promised to be fascist while also perverting the justice system? No: while certainly not ideal, it was understandable.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

Don't think I'd ever describe using something as open to very obvious abuse as blanket preemptive pardons as 'smart'*, that's a step too far. We are, most likely, going to now enter a cycle of outgoing administrations issuing preemptive blanket pardons for the term of their administration as a matter of course when there's a change of party involved.

I'd save a bit of snark for the 'Robust Republic' types as well. If you've got nebulously defined/ limited powers that are open to abuse like pardons and EOs that is absolutely a systemic failure, which was always going to become a problem. There's limited utility talking about how things should work or were envisaged to work if the practicality is different.

*necessary, ok, in this specific case that is hard to dispute given Trump's personality. But it's a can of worms opened nevertheless.

There are real developments to be concerned about around Trump but we should also we aware of some of the fake news and misinformation

This one is about the $400 Tesla contract that Musk was getting

This sure counterweighs everything else.

I do find it funny they're cutting people and having to hire them back.  One would think tech people understood the importance of being methodical.

The point is there was story posted on this thread around Musk getting this deal and it was concerning because of his proximity to Trump and it could easily be seen as conflict as interest

The story wasnt true and fake news stories should be a concern to everyone

I would ask double salary to go back, as it is clear that they can't say no

They did this at an old company I worked for, a good section of engineers came back only to job hunt at work.  One legend came back and told the managers to do something rather obscene, which was fun.

One bird flu over the cuckoo's nest... yeah, sloppy work indeed. I was expecting gross mistakes to be made, and I wasn't disappointed.

Didn't Musk do exactly the same thing with Twitter? Quite apart from the procedural mess around buying it in the first place. Does make you wonder how he got so much money in the first place when he seems to be trying to alienate both Twitter and Tesla's userbase simultaneously.

Otherwise yeah, meme department makes meme mistake; and we'd better get used to it as there will only be more coming.
