Hawke64 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Postponed the new playthrough indefinitely and went to kill the offline Ur-Dragon with my max level PC and without any preparation or memory how to play. Posting under the spoiler tag, because the game is being played, and seeing and fighting the Ur-Dragon for the first time is quite exciting. Less so for the 16th, but still fun. Spoiler Started with the hind legs, because I could reach easily. All was going well until I realised that I could not reach the top wing hearts. Then the boss flew away and I reloaded. On another note, the camera did not seem to be possible to adjust while my armour was not exactly visible on the dragon's scales, so was poking with the daggers blindly. If the health bar was dropping and a heart glowed afterwards, I was poking the right place. The head was an easy and obvious target. Would have been easier with buffs and stamina regenerating consumables. Then the dragon flew away first to the tower, then away, so I reloaded again. I suppose, the game was checking to know which version of the boss to load. Looked very impressive, though the damage from the boss was negligible or the boss was missing. A quick detour to the BBI afterwards, demonstrated my defences and skills being rusty. The full strider party. And yes, all mine. The offline board. Edited April 20 by Hawke64 2

Keyrock Posted April 21 Posted April 21 ^ I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get out of those 2 screenies. The wolf has much better combat stats while the pony has a much higher carrying capacity. Yeah, that checks out; that tracks. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
melkathi Posted April 21 Posted April 21 The pony is a bloodthirsty drunkard, the wolf was raised by boars. 1 1 1 Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).
Hurlshort Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Man, that is a huge group. Your food bill has got to be out of control. I usually try to only have enough mercs to cover the professions. On previous playthroughs, I had a nice pack of wolves, but this time I don't have an archer with the ability to control them, so I haven't bothered. I do have 5 ponies and a ton of gear though.
melkathi Posted April 21 Posted April 21 That does not even include the tavern staff and tavern guard wolf. My food consumption is in the seventies. Once I have converted a few more prisoners, I'll set them up as tavern staff as well. Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).
melkathi Posted April 26 Posted April 26 The game may not be pretty, but it allowed me to paint my ship poison green to make my opponents' eyes bleed. Aesthetic warfare. 3 Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).
LadyCrimson Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I have utterly no clue what I'm doing, but apparently it'll still look kinda pretty. Also, this is just the loading screen, but I rather liked it. 2 “Things are as they are. Hawke64 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) Fallout 4 Sometimes, the visual style looks very nice. Should not have kept clicking on the skill check. Thought it was a bugged out bush. Hurlshort Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Is that the Assassin's Creed where you stab your son to death in the first hour or so? Man, I hated that one based solely on that. Ubisoft is like, "let's force people to stab their sons and then deal with the trauma of that by stabbing a bunch of other people." Great storytelling. 1

Man, I hated that one based solely on that. Ubisoft is like, "let's force people to stab their sons and then deal with the trauma of that by stabbing a bunch of other people." Great storytelling. At least, it happens within the refund window and you pretty often stab your family members in AC, if I remember correctly. --- Fallout 4 Probably should have checked what would happen if I just went to the statue's location, without drinking from the suspicious spring. The puzzle was not exactly difficult, but moving the floating camera/PC around was. The blocks could stand on the thin air if at least one side was touching another block, which led to some "creative" ideas on my part, such as using only 2 blocks to cross gaps instead of building actual bridges. Which backfired when I miscalculated a jump. The wolves having packs means that they are still social beings and humans labelling them "ferocious" and "bloodthirsty" is not exactly new. Well, investing in Charisma occasionally pays off. I sympathise with his priorities. --- A Short Hike The game is really pretty, but I have not taken many screenshots. Edited May 4 by Hawke64 2
Hawke64 Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Arto Islets The first boss is an angry radish. The nurse counts and judges. Spoiler The RNG was not with me. (I assume that the selection is semi-random). The previous timed challenges were difficult, but approachable. Here, I assume, I would have to use the Cloud arrows or somehow kept the umbrella. 1 1 1

Mamoulian War Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Not sure, if anyone here likes racing much, but this week, I got one of the most intense races in a long time. Very balanced field, where between 7th and my 21st position in qualification was less than 1 second difference Start was pretty solid, gained a little bit, but made a big mistake at the end of the first lap and dropped down to 26th place. After that I have started my slow progress to get up to 11th position, where I have experienced few "near-miss" situations, where the car right in front of me or right behind me was taken out. At the end, I got to position 10, as the guy right in front of me, has been penalized after the race by stewards I watched it today again and could not believe how lucky I got few times, but still crazy good race that was 2 Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC.
