Yeah, that's the highest resolution I have found as well.

But have increased it's resolution via one of online ai uscalers: 3200x4576

It's not perfect, but still an improvement.

If you are like me and find the 'brightness' a bit jarring compared to the game's own pics, I played around with the last one a bit in GIMP. Still need to figure out how to do that with the Island Aumaua, not as easy as this one...

Re brightness: yeah, it's fairly easy to adjust it to your taste.

Personally I compare it vs the following "control group":

Use it, if you like it. Or not. 😜

"Zoom" for most portraits were made for correspondence and harmonization to other NPC portraits.

I'd love it if someone could make the correct portraits for Kratos, be great for my 'evil' run (not really evil, just self-interested and dispassionate). He'll be a Barbarian/Monk from The living lands, proficient in the axe.

lol, well I'd say he's largely like that in God of War 2018. He's actually quite pragmatic, he has a line to Atreus "We do what we must to survive. Close your heart to their suffering, do not allow yourself to feel for them, they will not feel for you".

And of course in the new Ragnarok trailer Thor says he seems like a calm and reasonable person.

Well the old Kratos is definitely an evil playthrough lol. Actually that would work well for this game; being used as a pawn by the Gods is a perfect fit for Kratos.

Also you should definitely play the new God of War, the combat is amazing.
