@SChin Can you guys chill out with the anti-bot checks, they have become extremely annoying. The checks are constant, even if you keep the browser opened, they only work if the tab is in focus, if you open multiple tabs each tab needs to complete its own check.

Sorry about that. We aren't sure what triggered the anti-bot checks, but we noticed it ourselves when we were updating websites later in the morning. Are you still getting them? We were working to get them to stop triggering.

Thanks for the report and sorry for the trouble!

I wasn't a couple of hours ago, but now I just got it. I did close the browser at some point though.

I checked just now via my tablet and haven't seen the botcheck-screen yet, vs. constant every click like before.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram.

It's definitely better than it was.

I knew there was something wrong. I didn't notice anything today, but I also had an issue where I had to constantly log in

So, it seems, that the bot checking has lessened somewhat? Thanks for your patience everyone. Making sure the community is able to be accessible and also not inundated with BOTS/SPAM is a balancing act, indeed!

Yeah, the session time-out is much longer right now, instead of 1 hour. It resets when you close the browser, but I guess that is to be expected. Idk, why this forum is so affected by bots, or maybe the others have a more seamless solution.

Why does the bot check need to be done at all for users that are logged in, can't you just do this for unregistered users?

Thank you for looking into it. The checks seem to be less frequent now.

@SChin is it just me or have you guys increased the frequency for bot checking?

So I click sign in, I get a bot check, then I click on a thread and get the bot check again. It's really obnoxious. The frequency for the time out is also too much.

I believe Azure WAF blocked me from logging in while on the VPN, and I keep it on almost at all times due to the UK inclination to leak its residents' data all over the internet.

Thank you for fixing it.

I've tried again (not sure why I was logged out so soon) and the issue is still present.

Clicking on the Email button did not work previously, so I have not tried this time.

Just to say/report, I currently get the bot check one or thrice per starting a session than it stops (desktop and tablet). Which I find tolerable.

Sidenote: oddly my phone freaked out trying to load this forum on an older (but not ancient) phone-chrome app. I had to update chrome app for it to work properly. The odd part is that on my tablet, which has a super duper much (much) older "chrome app" on it (haven't updated the app in years and years on tablet), this forum still works just fine. I guess something is aware the tablet is old android/chrome app versioning and allow it or something, where the phone didn't. Dunno, it was weird tho.
