...ok, how do you make YT embeds appear now.

I used the long one originally and I didn't see it show up, so I used the shorter one to see if that would. :getlost:
Maybe something was just glitching for me that session.

Edit: Nope, still doesn't work. It worked for me before tho - I posted that cat video the other day I think. I can see everyone's posted videos, they're just not embedding for me. Wah. All scripts allowed except doubleclick.net... EditEdit: Bah.  EditEditEdit: removed redundant test link

If I copy and paste this particular link the reply box reads "posted as rich text, click here to post as plain text instead", if I click on that it automatically embeds the video (and then offers to post the link as plain link, instead of an embedded one).

That also happened with the short link. It embeds short links without issue as long as it's not pasted as rich text. From where do you copy the links?

No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

From YouTube's video page, then highlight/copying the address  in the url bar in Firefox (r-click, Copy), or in the case of the short link, from YouTube's own "Share" button menu.

Edit: I get no such message when I do it myself - originally I mean. Haven't tried cut and pasting from my forum post.

testing, ignore me -- edit - ok seems to not work when I first hit post (doesn't even turn it into a hyperlink), still with no 'rich text' message or anything. If I then hit edit, put cursor by the text and hit Return, it suddenly embeds. Strange, seems to work only in edit window... editedit: ok now it works in the new post box too. WEIRD.

Grand Moff Tarkin: Stormtrooper, what is that button on your body armor?

Hapless Stormtrooper: A peace symbol, sir.

Tarkin: Where'd you get it?

Stormtrooper: I don't remember, sir.

Tarkin: What is that you've got written on your helmet?

Stormtrooper: "Cloned to Kill", sir.

Tarkin: You write "Cloned to Kill" on your helmet and you wear a peace button. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?

Stormtrooper: No, sir.

Tarkin: You'd better get your head and your ass wired together, or I _will_ unleash the Death Star on your sorry butt.

Stormtrooper: Yes, sir.

Tarkin: Now answer my question or you'll be standing tall before the man.

Stormtrooper: I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir.

Tarkin: The what?

Stormtrooper: The duality of man. The Yoda thing, sir.

Tarkin: Whose side are you on, son?

Stormtrooper: Our side, sir.

Tarkin: Don't you love the Empire?

Stormtrooper: Yes, sir.

Tarkin: Then how about getting with the program? Why don't you jump on the team and come on in for the big win?

Stormtrooper: Yes, sir.

Tarkin: Son, all I've ever asked of my Stormtroopers is that they obey my orders as they would the word of the Emperor. We are here to help the Wookies, because inside every Rebel Scum there is an Imperial trying to get out. It's a hardball galaxy, son. We've gotta keep our heads until this peace craze blows over.

Stormtrooper: Aye-aye, sir.

Quote
“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder.

So PC gamer is fluffing about casting actors for video game characters (or their body parts. Like Steve Buscemi's eyes for Sonic ) and this is perfect:
