Very serious UI bug in Russian translation 3.0.0.0012

 

All ingame text which should be in boldface type - on abilities sheets, item weapon and armor sheets, characher sheets and some other text - now looks like regular type (exept colons, which is bold). Even <b>Text</b> tag are not working anymore. English and other romanian languages are ok.

 

Step to reproduce: simple comparing russian and english ingame text, try to use <b>Text</b> tag in russian text

 

I assume this is something connected with B-Mac's mentioned changes in modding tread:

"All languages now use the same font asset, which contains all the characters from all the supported languages. That means these characters can be used in any game text without switching the font with TextMesh Pro tags".

 

Please, fix it before release, becose it looks awful ;(

So MegaBoss is just big spider with big numbers ? I spawn him via console and was disappointed. Did someone try to fight him in his natural habitat ?

the spider has incredibly high defenses, so high that the average player won't be able to land a hit on it. The arena where you fight it spawns normal spiders infinitely, and killing one of them reduces the big spider's defenses by 1. So you have to kill enough little spiders to get the big spider's defenses down to a level where you can take it out, but you can't just run around ignoring the big spider because it has very powerful petrify attacks and the ability to inflict permadeath on party members. It's an interesting setup and pretty tense

 

This is cool. Can't wait to fight it and see what they come up for the other megabosses.

Two small pieces of feedback:

 

1, regarding the megaboss: would it be possible to slow down the animation of the boss itself just a tiny bit? Just a minor niggle but it seems to move a bit too fast for its size; slightly slower movement would accentuate how big it is (eg Shadow Of The Colossus, which takes this to an extreme)

 

2, regarding the Mythic upgrade: it's really cool that you can only see it when you actually have an Adra Stone in your inventory, but the UI looks a little incomplete without it:

I wonder if it would be possible to make it so the quality section expands to fill that box without Mythic there?

Hi all, i have 2 questions for all who play beta 3.0

 

- This mega boss spider, there is a quest for kill it, or no ?

- Any items from kill it ?

are we to expect new or updates in the existing abilities for other classes too?

There's no quest to kill it. The patch includes a "guide to the deadfire" book which will presumably be added to lootlists, and contains a tongue-in-cheek warning like "STAY AWAY from the unkillable monster which lives at these exact co-ordinates".

 

Killing the megaboss gives you...

the spider's mandibles as an equippable trinket with a cool ability, and an Adra Stone which allows access to Mythic quality for unique weapons or armour

Also, considering that Wizards have extra spells from grimoires, are there any plans to give something to Druids and Priests?

Is anyone else having trouble with music synching properly? The "Caravan" theme from Pillars 1 keeps overlapping other tracks like the world map theme.

(Also wanted to add the new combat track is stellar.)

Yes, several bugs with new music system is present

Maybe they should hold off on the music stuff until the next patch. White March boss music is plenty for me

It would be great if we could use god challenges with mods.

 

Maybe obsidian could make it so that you can use them but you only get the achievements if you play with all requirements met (no mods, expert, PotD)

Yes. Full music tracks and night music feels great, but lack some testing. Sometimes tracks don't change properly, sometimes tracks overlap each other, sometimes crossfades beetween tracks is too long (up to 20-30 sec.)

If the ability isn't strong enough it might be buffed.

If I don't like how it works, I can simply avoid it.

 

Ranger has a lot of nice low level goodies such as this wonderful disenchanting shot (uncle Keldorn would be proud).

 

Ranger needed a couple more Tier 8 & 9 and that what the patch gave them. So that's perfect I am quite happy.

Not just ranger, There are many classes need more 8 & 9 tier abilities.

But then it won't be such a no brainer to multi Rogues and Ciphers :/

Single class cipher is fine, I think u mean paladin.

Single Ascendant sure. Rogue is a no brainer.

 

Yeah I've been rolling single Pallys need to switch it up.

There was a lot good paladin ability in the first game, Coordinating Attack, Righteous Soul, Deprive the Unworthy in the first game, yet they replace them with stupid revive passives, it’s not very exciting.

I am playing on Mac and today I went to load the game and my most recent save files have 'Missing DLC' where the 'Load' button usually is ;(  I then downloaded the latest Mac update and updated POA2 but it hasn't resolved the issue... I bought this game on iTunes and have downloaded all the free in-app purchases but nothing more.

 

I am not clueless when it comes to computers but I either can I figure out more than what I have done to try to fix this. Google is no help as most people who sound like they have experienced anything similar seem to use Steam.

 

Hoping someone can please provide a very simple solution  ;(

It might be that the update is expecting Seeker, Slayer, Survivor but that is released tomorrow?  I play through Steam myself, and I noticed the DLC icon for it up since the patch beta update that I am using - did you try opting in or out of the Beta Patch?

Yeah not finding info on when the patch drops...does it drop right when the DLC is released or prior?
