Rambo is now a cowboy fighting cartels.  Wonder if we'll have the same level of pornographic violence establishing how bad the bad guys are like in the 4th movie - throwing people into burning buildings, executing kids and making people do suicide drills in a minefield

I find it interesting how Rambo developed into what it is over the years. I mean, the first movie isn't at all what the future movies then turned into. It's like the same shift in genre as Alien to Aliens has been.

PS: The first Hellboy movie was awesome.

I like this, I hope you continue to use it :)

No chance, it's one of the finest, most creative and *human* superhero films of all time. Great stuff.

Lol You'd say the same thing about Iron Man 3 and Ghost Rider 2. Edited by SonicMage117

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

I see a few movies in this

The Predator

The Thing

And...

Evil Dead

All mixed into one.

People didn't like Hellboy 2? Some pacing issues aside, I think it's probably the most unique and artful superhero movie we've gotten and I can watch it over and over just to take in the world Guillermo del Toro envisioned.

Re: Aquaman, I feel like I can skip it after that 'trailer'. That was like the entire movie.

Actually 2 was probably even better, I think Del Toro started to come into own style following Pan's Labyrinth which really helped 2. I just recall the Golden Army being a let down.

2 was another one where they cut huge amounts of backstory and fleshed the villain more than is shown in the film. Apparently they did shoot a whole lot more of Prince Nuada related stuff, but due to the constraints of time, it ended up on the editing room floor.

Watched Black Mass, rare to watch a movie where I wanted every character to die

I like Hellboy 2, like TrueNeutral said there were some beautiful shots in the movie and the story was ok (I mean it wasn't like the first one was a masterpiece).

I think people like the first movie more because of that nazi dude. :>

The best part about Hellboy 2 was Abe Sapian and Nuala's infatuation. Plus seeing the hidden world or whatever it's called.

No Ron Perlman, no Guillermo del Toro, no me watching that weaksauce "reboot". Phhhhbt.

While IMDB'ing that thing I also found out there's apparently "Good omens" film with what seems to be decent cast? Not sure if I'm cautiously optimistic or tentatively pessimistic.

I dunno, I like del Toro and Perlman as much as the next guy, but Neil Marshall and David Harbour aren't bad choices either.

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Certainly not. I think we're mostly responding to the notion that either of the two Hellboy films we've so far had are 'trash'. Also we've yet to see any actual footage for the newest Hellboy so it's not like there's a whole lot to comment about regarding the reboot.

I saw Atom and The Wasp tonight and it's probably on my top 3 Marvel movies (which was a high bar already).

Needless to say I enjoyed it for the humor, very light kidlike humor which is different from the darker humor I tend to go for in movies but still. I also really liked Wasp and Ghost. Very likable characters.

I enjoyed Ant-man And The Wasp too, but wished it would go just a bit more looney tunes. Now that we've had Thor: Ragnarok, this one seemed almost tame by comparison. Also it struggled to keep Ant-man himself relevant.
