Their invocations now have durations. Sooooo since you got those Invos out SO FAST we gotta make sure that you can't just have them linger around for the 5 minute second battle. I don't understand where they are going with this can they not see that Chanters have just no place in their game outside Triple Crown Solo or making ranged physical dps slightly less sucky?

What is really mind blowing to me is that 90% of chants are just worthless. 25% damage is fine, the deflection is OK but your tanks never get hit anways, the Dragon DoT is fine but the fights never last long enough for it to tick enough to matter, and attack speed for ranged is OK but imo ranged auto damage is ridiculously low/overrated. Where are the debuff chants? Sicked/Weakened/Blinded/Hobbled? Where is a chant that lowers armor penalty or general recovery speed for the entire party? It is almost like they WANT the chanter to be good, but if he is good then they think he is OP so they just settle making him garbage. The ONLY reason I take a Chanter tank in PotD is to buff my sabre/crit mutiplier rogue break 140 damage crits. I never ONCE used his summons during the game because the fights were over so quickly when you use Wizards properly. The part the REALLY grinds my gears is Fergus going to PC Gamer and spouting crap about how the Chanter is SO MUCH BETTER than the worthless Bard in DnD games and was made so because they really want support characters to shine. Does Josh just hand him a script? Because if he played the game he wouldn't have said that junk.

Download that Eternity Keeper from Nexus mods and change a Wizards stats to ~30 in every category. LOL so much fun running around just one or two shotting every group. I wandered into Raedrics keep on PoTD and killed his entire entourage in about 3-5 seconds. Gave myself a nice 14 Mechanics too because I consider it a forced skill anyways. I am just dying laughing every time my 500' cone of fire kills everything in one hit. You think it would get old but NOOPE Diablo 3 meet PoE.

I'm not saying I Dislike the game, in fact I have like 150 logged hours and am LOVING the new paladin changes (Chanters next please). I'm saying it feels more like DLC than an expansion. I want the story to move forward, I want to know the consequences of my choice at the end of the game (W/O spoilers Wael gets me every time) WHAT HAPPENED TO EOTHAS? I can only hope that Part 2 is an actual extension of the late game.

From my understanding the expansion only adds content in the level 5-7 range and the ending of the game stays that way. Doesn't really feel like an expansion and I don't see why I should buy side content let alone play 30 hours of it. I see what they are going for, the BG1 Tales of the Sword Coast style of expansion but I gotta be honest, most playthroughs of BG1 I skip all the ToSC content haha. The items are "Meh" seeing as soon as I am able to finish the content I could already beat the game and it takes an incredibly long time to clear it all. Unless the items are full of +Accuracy stacking items then I don't see what the gear could possibly give me in the late game. Even on PotD the late game is ridiculously easy with properly built casters and the CC available. The only hard part is the final boss, who has such inflated defensive stats that more Accuracy is all I want. I guess an Arrows of Dispelling equivalent would be nice lol

If anyone with programming skills could do this I would really appreciate it. I find no reason why armor has delays (other than to make plate wearing casters balanced), and why does it have to be SO MUCH delay. Why if I want to do any amount of DPS do I have to strip my dps'ers down to clothing or near clothing levels? Why do I have to drop my tank's DEX to 3 because he is delayed so much it doesn't matter? Delay. #anexperimentgonewrong

I just noticed that virtually nothing is weak to slash and those that are are barely weaker than the base DR. Crush has much less HIGH resistance and more LOW resistance. Get rid of DR -
So I beat the game twice now. Once on hard and once on normal, but there are a couple things I didn't seem to catch regarding the lore and maybe a kind soul can fill me in. 1. I still don't know what the Pillars of Eternity are (Adra things that loop souls? i dunno) 2. Magran seems inconsistent. Through your priest's subplot you learn that she was actually on the side of The Queen (Woed?) and Eothas was actually trying to stop them from carrying out their plan. Yet at Twin Elms she councils you to stop The Queen and return the souls to the land to strengthen it. What? Maybe I missed something. 3. What exactly happened to the Eogathewhothewhatsit civilization? Are you telling me ALL of them were sucked into Thaos?

Feargus Urquhart: "I think the Chanter in particular came from this idea of, a lot of people love playing Bard. And often the implementation of Bard in games is, they're a great idea but they kinda suck?" Feargus....Chanters suck. They are too slow to ramp up in the game you have created, their chants until late level do virtually nothing, their invocations are strong but hardly ever used by 90% of the player base (I'm going out on a limb and saying MOST players don't touch PotD). INT doesn't effect chant duration. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think if you make a Chanter that isn't a tank; put 1's in all the attribute slots and you won't notice much of a difference.

Well if it seems that if you are even targetted by a single monster DR prolongs the inevitable death. Deflection is everything and you just can't afford to be sitting around waiting for monsters to situate themselves around your tanks, while your casters are blowing things up. It seems that damage was balanced around your melee being naked with 20 might and dex and max DR penetration. They just left out the monster hitting back part of the calculation.

Well after my second party was again annihilated by this beast and yet again beating it through cheese tactics I was hoping other people would sign on to try and get fixed some things in the encounter that bother me and get this fight out of the 'Cheese it or leave it" category. 1. The hit box. Where exactly is the Audra dragon's hit box for spells/traps? Can it be made actually visible? 2. Bugs. Audra dragon can be made perma proned, can stop attacking all-together, can walk away from tanks into a corner and stand there (obviously afraid of my awesome powers), and can sit in an AoE on the ground and not get hit/crit/grazed/missed. These are the ones I know of there may be more 3. The charm adds. I hate charm in this game because there seems to be no amount of Will that blocks it, the Mental Fortress talent does nothing, but was 4 charm spamming adds really necessary for the dragon? 4. Stomp/breath range reduction. Dragon farts and my ranged characters die. Dragon breath cone seems to be 180 degrees and a mile long. Tail swipe hits harder than her bite Those are the things that I feel could be adjusted to at least make this fight more manageable. I really hate having to use cheesy scroll/trap/bug techniques to beat a boss. I'm not saying it should be hard but it should be done with proper tactics and planning, rather than spamming 100 priest traps under her.

Wizard's level 6 spells are BEYOND op. 20 second and 5m base AoE that: Sickens, Dazes, and Paralyzes. Chain Lighning that Foe Jumps (Jolting Touch on drugs). AoE Petrifiy (DEX set to 0 lol). There was another one that was also incredibly strong I can't see now. I'm so mad I didn't stick with my wizard till late game with my first play through. Talk about a slowly ramping up freight train. Even with Aldoth's crummy stats I can turn any group of mobs into target dummies. C'mere you Ogre Druids I got a treat for ya.

I disagree. The highest damage BY FAR from any clustered groups of enemies is the Druid Firefly or whatever spell. W/ Scion of Flame it would bounce for 100+ damage, UP TO 8 TIMES!!! It can bounce to the same target multiple times as well. You can literally just LOL at your screen with 1, maybe 2 if you are fighting Ogres or something, casts. O it is fast cast as well so chaining them back to back is OP. Nerf Druids

What does cheesing mean? I tanked it with one fighter and rest of my party surrounded it from all sides and hacked away, because my characters were surrounding it, only one got hit at a time. Tank needed 5 major endurance potions to keep alive. Only 2 other characters were hit and both stayed alive barely. How? I put every max endurance piece of gear I had on my Paladin tank, then buffed him with the +50 endur potion and he STILL was one shot by the crush or the breath.
