An intriguing idea. It also made me think that an immediate post-war Europe setting ala The Third Man could be interesting as a setting too.

It seemed to me that I was more accurate with sniper rifles outside of VATS, but I chalked it up to the fact that VATS pretty much seems to be a "fire the weapon until AP points were used." Which you could do with a sniper rifle, but the ideal use was to fire the rifle when using the scope. So my guess was that VATS didn't use the scope, so if I wanted the scope bonuses, I needed to do the scope manually (which as Josh said was usually sneaking to a position and then sniping unwitting subjects then switching to other weapons if I got spotted).

I imagine filling out any form that requires complete name would be tedious. I wonder what he considers his middle name? Is he casually known as Captain Combined?

Hmm, I thought it was more of a borefest like Diablo 2, to be honest. I enjoyed Titan Quest, but its a total Diablo 2 clone. But I enjoyed it more than Diablo 2.

I liked Incredible Hulk although watching the cut scenes made me realize what a mess it could have been. I enjoyed Hellboy II a good bit, but its such a slight film, beyond enjoyment it didn't leave that much of a lasting impression (which isn't really a bad thing; I like fun as much as the next guy, but it seemed to lack the gravitas in the first film).

Ring, Spiral, Ring 2 and Ring 0: Birthday. Sort of an odd lurching collection of films as they try to be sequels to the movies and adapt books at the same time and in several cases end up working at cross purposes. First one is still a great little film though.

I'd have given props to Bush if he'd been hit by the shoe and responded by quoting Austin Powers from the first film: "That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman!" Too bad he was too quick so we'll never know what he'd have done had he been hit.

Maybe you could be a shotgun and machete wielding zombie?

I confess, I'd have thought that people who worked at a game store wouldn't be allowed to "review" games for the customer, particularly since its subjective in so many areas.

I remember writing a post on Black Isle IN Middle English in a thread on grammar nazisism. It was probably fractured syntax, but still good times. I don't mind changes in the language for the most part, its going to happen as use changes the language. That still doesn't mean that if someone types "rediculous" that I'm not going to roll my eyes and groan inwardly though.

I actually liked Art School Confidential, but mostly because it was poking fun of intellectual academia and art criticism. Its not as good as Ghost World made by the same people (Terry Zwigoff directing & based of a comic story by Dan Clowes and which had Steve Buscemi in an important role).

Yeah we were all very o.O at the revelation.

I know a guy who watched it with a woman friend of his and she commented that she wished someone could do that to her.

I didn't mind the lockpicking (or the hacking) in FO3, I think I was just too slow a lot of times to keep from breaking the pins. Mind you I didn't mind hacking/lockpicking in Mass Effect either, so I'm just weird.

Full stop should only be used in one place in the case of parenthesis, not both. Outside the parenthesis unless the parenthesis themselves form a separate sentence The letter after a colon is capitalized if the section following is multiple sentences or is the "meat" of the sentence, or is a formal quote, otherwise its not capitalized.

In FO3, I was being shot multiple times by a mini-gun weilding Super-Mutants after clicking to unlock something (I ran forward and it came up the stairs and I had my back to the stairs), everything stopped while I picked the lock, then when I was done opening the lock, I resumed being shot. I lol'd.

Yeah sadly we lacked entertaining players or characters in those sessions. There some later like the player who had the genius to use his additional strength granted from bracers of giants strength to not carry more items but to lug around a corpse of something they'd kill in the dungeon to use as a trap shield (rolling the body into rooms to try and set off ground traps and the like) or the multiple personality disorder Gnome Illusionist whose other personalities were an Orc Barbarian (so he'd rush headlong into battle) and an Elven Princess (who would boss around the other players and refuse to do any manual labor).

Its a fair complaint, there was a lack of kitbags to sing about.

I had a bunch of bobbypins early on, but by late in the game I had...5 bobbypins. Maybe I just wasted a bunch because I sucked at the minigame?

No, when you break the sound barrier you actually break it. It's both a visual and audible experience. At a distance it sounds like thunder, close up it's like a gigantic explosion and a shockwave. It can easily break a lot of windows. A friend's mother had her buns fly out of the oven when a jet plane did a low fly-by above her house (her boyfriend is a fighter pilot). She was not impressed. Well yes I know you can still hear a sonic boom from a distance, but I guess I was asking could an object still be visable but distant enough to break the sound barrier without the sound reaching the viewer.
