  1. If you feel a post or thread violates the rules, please report it for mod review. Trying to self-police the forum only results in ill-feelings on all sides.
  2. I think all you have to do is go to Turn Based and level up Harm a bit and you can't be touched in combat. In real-time pretty much everything could kill you if you didn't click enough. Also I hated the how weapon durability worked
  3. I loved Suikoden and Suikoden II at the time (haven't played them in years so no clue what I'd think of them) but was gutted by how horrible I thought Suikoden III was - three protagonists and I hated every one of them.
  4. I'm neutral on them. It depends on the game, the character I'm playing and the options available in the game as to how my character dresses.
  5. Companions in POE already had way more interactions and dialogue than they did in BG2. I didn't say they didn't. I used ~ to represent an equivalence relation between them, not an equals and to represent my understanding of their relation to each other...
  6. I I seem to recall there was talk about Ydwin, that she might get full companion status in an expansion, but I don't know if that was based on something that was said or if it was based on hope.
  7. A Time Zone difference maybe? I believe if you lived in the Seychelles, for example, and the game launched at 1:00 PM PST on May 8, it wouldn't launch for you until 1:00 AM GST on May 9.
  8. I always took it that Companions in POEII ~ Companions in BG2 Sidekicks in POEII ~ Companions in BG1 They'd have dialogue related to the quest they were found on, but otherwise would be a few personality barks after that initial launch. That was the impression I got when there was a push to reach the stretch goal of Ydwin as a full companion rather than a sidekick.
  9. Sierra was bought by Vivendi Games, which merged with Activision.
  10. Maybe they're a rival heretical cult to your one true doomsday cult.
  11. Who are you, Chris Avellone? I keed, I keed. I liked Arcanum other than the bug that ate a quest item from my inventory two thirds through the game that forced me to restart. Oh and the unbalanced combat system that made magic a breeze and technology less than optimal as a path. I'm not a fan of Vampires. That's because you don't want people to pre-judge you because you sparkle. Arcanum IP is owned by Activision, AFAIK. So unless Activision wanted it to happen, it ain't happening. A magic steampunk themed original game, they could do, but not really a sequel to Arcanum using the IP/Lore/Systems.
  12. Fun is fun. Taking random potshots at users, whether overtly or in a covertly passive aggressive way isn't fun. I just trimmed a lot of swipes at other users out of this thread as well as some spam. Play nice.
  13. The forums give peer assistance and developer assistance, but the emails are sorted by a person who can prioritize issues and make sure they get before the right set of eyes behind the scenes. It can be a quicker contact path so ideally a post here and an email raises the visibility of your issue.
  14. Switch has a really big screen in handheld mode.
  15. Can't find a clip from my favorite film atm, so I'll give you a couple scenes from CHARADE (1963), one of my favorites instead: and
  16. While I'd played earlier Computer RPGs (Phantasie for the C64 for example). A disastrous experience with Phantasy Star III cooled my interest in jRPGs1, positive word of mouth on FFVI (back when it was still FFIII) led me to play it and it was the game that kind of cemented my continuing interest in video games; I'm not sure if I'd primarily stayed as a platformer/brawler/fighter player I'd have stuck around as long as I did. 1 I actually retried Phantasy Star III after FFVI and came to like it; I'd gotten frustrated that I couldn't trigger a specific event to advance the story during one of the scenarios; by the time I went back to it, I was able to use USENET to figure out what I was missing (I wasn't walking on the right part of the map, go figure) and ended up liking the game overall. Could one of you old timers tell me what this thing is about? There is definitely some history to it as I've seen you fellas write that here quite often. Gromnir. Gromnir is what its about. Its his sign off; like his posting style, it will be in each of his posts and has been AFAIK since the late 1990s. If other people use it, its probably in direct relation to Gromnir using it.
  17. If you haven't emailed support@obsidian.net, you should. While developers do read through this forum, emails are still a reliably quicker way to get your issue to the eyes of a person who can help you. Include: General (For all issues) What platform are you on? Stream/Android/iPad, etc. What version of the OS are you running? Android 4.4, iOS 9.3, etc. What model is the device? Galaxy Tab 3, iPad Mini 4, etc. What is your PFID#? (Located in the settings menu) Store Issues What products were purchased? What products are missing (if any)?
  18. They got a new Lucy in 2016 - Although apparently Scary Lucy was enough of a draw, the park still has her out in a different area.
  19. To be fair, this is actually true of the original series. As late as episode 6 of the original series, Dr. Smith was still trying to kill the Robinsons (but that's pretty much the last of it; the episode sees him changing his mind because he can't stand not having any human contact, so he sends the Robot to rescue the family). That said, I'm somewhat dismayed to hear we're getting dysfunctional Family Robinson. Not surprising in this day and age, I guess, but still disappointing.
  20. He's using imgur. When you you attach your pictures, you get a thumbnail. You can then use the thumbnail address to link an image to the original picture. You have to right click and copy the address. This gets the image thumnail address and then you remove the thumbnail designation and wrap it in img codes. So post-148297-0-29345400-1524161319_thumb.jpg becomes post-148297-0-29345400-1524161319.jpg: The other 2:
  21. I've cleaned the thread up a bit. If you think sites are too small for Obsidian to notice, then state so. "Lol jk" only gets you so far.
