Hah, I always read G3N13 as Genie and never equated it with G3. I can't say I knew them very well. I dunno, I count Missy's just because a lot of people were jumping ship at the time. I remember Saint Proverbius inviting me to the RPG Codex at some point near the end of BIS or Interplay. I'm pretty sure it was the end of BIS as I believe i knew about the Codex when the announcement of the action game Brotherhood of Steel happened that caused such a ruckus that was during the interplay forums period. Remember when BIS announced custom avatars if you reached a certain post count and Ross Witchen spammed the forum to get his post count there? Good times. That said I'm not sure I remember the Lord Jim Incident...? Yeah I got no free games from Interplay during my brief modship there. I can understand everyone asking for Lionheart - it had a solid premise and I think we were all excited about it. EDIT: I wonder how Pirotess and Preacher are doing as well. And well any of the old crowd who don't post here regularly.

Oh yeah, Winterwind. I didn't count MistressLair Redux, since it only exists because Missy got out of the business of promoting our goofing about, but I guess you could. Don't remember who G3 was? Pretty sure that the story is they never got so far as to discuss what kind of design it'd be; the baker took the gentlemen to his book of samples and when they told him what it was for he said he couldn't make it, that he'd sell them anything else in the store but for religious reasons he couldn't accept a commission to bake a wedding cake for them.

Don't remember Morte being named for the user, I thought the user took the name. Could be wrong though as I didn't follow PSTs development all that closely (I think PST released prior to BIS boards launching and I was only a lurker on the threaded Interplay forum that preceded the BIS boards but my memory may be wrong on that).

You should be able to right click the thumbnail image and copy the image address. You can then edit the post and paste the image address in image tags to show the original upload. I believe you can also get the exact image address from your "attachments" area of your profile (Click you avatar, click edit your profile, click manage attachments)

I didn't remember that about the GD name either. I do remember the controversy over naming stuff after forum members. And of course the whole Lanfear leaving the boards thing over how her name and Coran were used in BG2.

If the posts violates a forum rule report it, otherwise people are entitled to their opinion and have no issue posting it here regardless of how wrong you may think that opinion is. Or how wrong it actually is, since those two don't always overlap the way one thinks.

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to respond to people who disagree with your opinion politely. Please do so.

I've just deleted some sniping about what is whining and who does it. This isn't what this forum is about. You don't like what someone says, argue against what they say. Not them.

As I understand it, its more specifically from Gaelic and Welsh sources (mostly from the Gaelic Calan Gaeaf festival). For example of the possible application of a anti-mask law, the US state of Georgia has an anti-mask law (from 1951) to make it possible to prosecute the KKK who, until that point, had been using anonymity to commit crimes and intimidate witnesses and minorities. It is also very narrowly interpreted according to the Georgia Supreme Court to, as I recall, really only factor into situations where the mask provokes apprehension of intimidation, threats or violence despite not specifying that in the law. The law also makes exceptions for masks for work, gas masks, masks for holidays and masks for theatrical or mardi gras style celebrations. The law, as its currently interpreted, wouldn't apply to a Muslim woman in a traditional face covering unless she was trying to use anonymity to intimidate others thanks to her anonymity or to intimate violence against others thanks to her anonymity.
