  1. Somebody please extend the edit function. I mean, I understand the adverse effects of having unlimited edit time, but I really hate to triple post. Well, anyway, here's a , fresh one.
  2. I want there to not be war for a couple of years. With the raising graphical standards, I can enjoy exploding churches and people being burned in tanks virtually on my screen with ever-increasing clarity and vision. I hope no one actually has to experience either. I hope that's not too much to ask.
  3. Not to mention the Wheel of Time, or even Potter.
  4. I've been meaning to read Thykudides for a while. I absolutely love ancient history, especially pre-Roman period, but Roman as well. I remember firs registering to this forum and seeing both "Tigranes" and "Roshan" in the browser, and feeling like home... Today, I spent 3 hours in the uni library reading room, taking notes from Christian Kr
  5. Well, considering Yrj
  6. Also; An open mind is like a fortress, with its gates unlocked and unbarred. My race guesses. besides Blood Ravens and Gorgutz: -Eldar definitely, they are a core race and have a monstrous popularity, also Taldeer is still alive. -Tyranids, Relic has just about promised them -Possibly either Chaos, though Tyranids might be a replacement for them and certainly a bigger threat; or most likely the Imperial Guard, due to both popularity and relevance to the Space Marine campaign(I mean, they are the planetary defence force afterall), hopefully un-Cadian this time. The problem with both is that the forces are anything but uniform like they were featured in DoW1(I love how good it feels to finally use that designation), featuring various factions and varieties. I don't know how to solve this, especially since they won't necessarily have campaigns for themselves. I'd like to have a Chaos template for instance, which I could mold into Black Legion or Iron Warriors, or make a mix of Noise and Plague Marines with a smathering of corrupted Imperial equipment and Thousand Sons sorcerers, but it's only a wet dream.
  7. *speechless* *slowly starts droolin* Emperor...I really can't help but to love Relic. Even though they went to the exact opposite direction I wanted them to, that is; not towards a larger scale Ground Control 2-like warfare, they seem to be doing it with style unprecedented. I've wanted unit experience to DoW forever! And they plan on retaining most of the features(able to choose missions, wargear, strategic map, etc), only limiting the number of races. That is fine with me, absolutely damn fine!
  8. Wait Gfted1, what? Where have I threatened walkerguy or condoned threatening him? Or am I reading your post wrong? I have nothing against him, I just do not like his posting style.
  9. Sorry about that, I didn' think folks like you existed. I'd be a lot less annoyed if he wasn't so ever-present and a constant attention whore. But whatever, this isn't really something to be discussed here, or anywhere outside PMs for that matter. Xard, was the ninja-moment awsum or what?
  10. I don't like walkerguy, just like everyone else here, but keep off the meds plz, there's no reason to bite his face off. It's not even worth it, I mean; look at the guy. As for the movie, looks awsum, AWSUM
  11. Well, it really wasn't apparent from Invisible War that it was a sequel, which was most likely intentional. That's how.
  12. Drone doom? No thanks, really. Estatic Fear, When Heaven Wept, Grand Magus, early Primordial, Mael Mordha are all good. CMX - Resurssikysymys
  13. I love musicals. ...I also love doom metal. Primodial - Traitors Gate
  14. Do you get Irn Bru where you are? I was obliged to open a bottle yesterday for work after a long day, and it's bloody rocket fuel. Can't recall seeing it in any normal stores. Maybe an import shoppe... Thanks though.
  15. That's it, I'll never ask Xard to be my god now!
  16. Alghazanth - Daemonolith Geez.
  17. Right. Is he dead yet? How about now?
  18. Shryke:No, you don't. I love Fiddler on the Roof, I adore Cats. I also like to watch Bollywood movies. BITE ME! Xard: I can't help but to dread that the book might end up being a huge flop. A huge flop I can't call a flop because my elitist "friends" will eat me up for being too mainstream to understand genius. "hey, hey! I love Alistair Reynolds already! CMX - Kosmologisen vakion laulu
  19. I for one am glad to welcome our new regeneration overlords. Simply because I hate how the only way to heal in most fps' is to go look for healthpacks or healing potions or whatever everytime, everytime. And when they allow you to carry several, an inventory perhaps or just a limited carry capacity, it means that every player will go out of their way to stock themselves up on healthpacks before every combat encounter. And when they lose a couple, they reload. The game becomes an exercise in hoarding. Actually, the best way healing has so far been done is not to the immediate "lol, i'sa bullet spongz!"-Gears of War-healing once you hide your head for a couple of seconds, but the Chronicles of Riddick method, where you have a health bar which regenerates only a certain percentage and, even then, only if you haven't gone over that limit. After a certain point, the health meter doesn't reach maximun unless you find medical stations, which do not(IIRC) refill after use. It simplifies a system of injury into the bare minimun, which has you taking your breath and taking cover to not lose your overall health maximum, but it also never breaks the flow of combat, because losing health doesn't mean you are going to run for the last healthkit you saw and neither does it mean that you are now expected to hide in a steel barrel and wait for your magical regenerative blood to kick in. I also adore how Tribes:Vengeance does it, because you can choose your healing; both regeneration and health packs, both immobile health stations(destructible) and mobile ones(attached to a vehicle for instance). I think it's brilliant.
