Yeah, FF8 was pretty bad. I mean, why bother with anything else then guradian force spamming. And once you get Aura and Lionheart going, why bother with anything else than continuous renzokuken? The characters, besides the angstboy Squall, were okaish and the story pretty mediocre. I didn't see much point to follow it through after 3rd CD, so don't take my word for it. I sort of liked the junction system though, even as it was fairly flawed.

The merit of randomising is in the value of experimentation. Often it's fun to just try to adapt and survive with a character over whose creation you don't have complete control over. Just try what you get and play with it.. That said, I don't think there's that much fun to be had over randomising. Complete control is a much more rewarding process. For beginners, tables and stuff can be rather scary entities and using a random generator will get you to the actual roleplaying much quicker. I know, I wouldn't want to fidget around too much if I'm "just trying".

Better living conditions; food; sunlight; safety and possibly fairly clinical(as in sanitation) atmosphere don't amount to anything? Nah! Not even close. Information on this was released on the US CoH forums like a month ago, by one of the Cryptic devs no less. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Darque was talking about Bok noticing Maria's return so late. Not about the game. As for the MMO, not interested. It'll be full of clones and I'm really not that interested on the world anyway.

My friend's character romanced her and went through with the romance to ToB's ending. I couldn't understand why. I remember my first playthough where I had all the romanceable NPCs in my party(I didn't know you could romance them back then) and all Aerie did was fight everyone. I took the habit of leaving her to the tent after that.

I suggest you check FF12s lead character again. I'm only interested in co-op. The game idea and world couldn't possibly be more bland. Lost Planet looks a whole lot more interesting, but that one doesn't have co-op and the vehicles move super-slowly.

Only if you liked to melee. With a magic user/paladin it was a breeze.

It's been too long, all I remember from the Paris level is the rooftop with the shed, that one nightclub and that that MJ12 base had mines and ladders. Now Duclaire mansion, that I remember. Mainly because the music was great and because Nicolette kept rambling... Hey, could you tell Guildmaster to implement a button for spoiler tagging? It's not like writing [ spoiler ] everytime is that hard or time consuming, but I'd like the feature along with the italic and bold buttons.

Has anyone noticed the music in the Totalwar.com site? "Euro Battle" is perhaps one of the best works of Jeff van Dyck. It has influences from all of his work. I can definetly hear some Shogun and Rome there along with the prevalent organ at the start that harkened me back to Medieval's start menu. I personally hate organs, no matter where used, but that track is just so fitting.

Very good screen, by the way. Is there a "movie-cam" feature in K1? Or what did you use to get such shots?
