  1. Oh, ****. This game has some incarnation of obligatory horror game nurses, right? Hell.
  2. Cheers. A couple of Q's: 1) Should I use ap-bullets on the suicide droids or just dodge the explosion, it is kind of hard? 2)Is shotgun a heavy weapon? I found an intact one from Medical, near Biopsy and kinda want to use it. 3)Is there any use in spending points to psionics? Some essential skill, or the like. 4)Is this game awesome or what?

  4. Nevermind, I took the camera out with a pistol and proceeded to find Doctor Walsh. I found him yeah, and a lot of other...stuff. Including irradiated psi-monkies and wacky suicide protocol droids. That said, the crew quarters of Med/Sci were awesome. They looked like straight from an alien movie and the flooding idea was archaic, but bloody fitting. I also liked how ominously monotone Xerxes sounds when he sends "security"("Your flessshh callss to uss!""Pleasse kill mmeee!"). Being in shreds, I huddled in a crevice with my wrench and tried to remember where the nearest surgery table was. I'm at Engineering now and wondering whether I should invest in Repair. I don't even have Standard Weapons skill higher than 1, so I can't use that nice shotgun I've been hoarding ammo(unloading hybrid's shotties for slugs) for. But they cost so. So cool game. So very cool. But it makes me want to play Deus Ex again.
  5. But yeah, 7th wasn't really a T.O.M.B.S-thread. More like a Krookie trying his still weak eaglet wings of spam(don't ask me how that's physiologically possible) and managing pretty well. Not a bad spam thread all in all, it was brave, had necrophilia and Lou, was brief and spontaneous in a grim time like a candle flame of a wax torch dropping from a rocky precipice to a deep moist abyss, momentarily lighting the horrified faces of spelunkers before a bat holocau...ahem, anyway. Now that the person-who-ate-Eldar-and-took-his-face is back and promises to make an effort, maybe T.O.M.B.S can raise again from his(it's?) pioneering example. Then again, it felt like an effort to separate those letters with dots.
  6. What's "evil"? Is it "greed" or "lust"? Both of those have changed countries, given opportunists the will to carry on revolutions, created art that enriches the mind and soul. Maybe evil is sociiopathy? But it's a disorder, you can't control it: a force of nature is not evil, only amoral. Is evil tyranny? Sometimes it's done to chastise a majority going against a minority, to clear former warzones of hot elements, just under a different nomer. Is the rigid bureocracy that doesn't hurry to save a transplant patient evil, if slavishly keeping to that bureocracy's dictum keeps hundreds of employees and their families fed and clothed? Funny thing, this moral grey area.
  7. Well, wouldn't you want to be an outlaw once in your lifetime? Eh, bandito?
  8. Quo usque tandem abutere patientia nostra. "Si hoc legere scis, nimis eruditionis habes" ahhahhaa
  9. Yeah, it's "Cantousent" nowadays.
  10. Do you happen to know whether there's a security control panel somewhere in Medical? I mean the area which has primate research and Biopsy(I think, because Polito[yeah, I have been already spoiled] asked me to find Grassi at Biopsy and haven't found it at anywhere else) Because all control panels I've found are near the start and that place is full of shotgun hybrids right now and I'd rather not traverse through load zones lest I cause more respawns. There's a nasty security camera next to the umm...regeneration chamber in Medical and I'd like to take it out before I plunge into monkeybashing. I like how limited my survival tools are at this point, but it also means I must play accordingly, ergo very sparingly. Also, Rebirth models are scary, especially the psi-ghosts.
  11. My friends 360 is busted with the three Ominous Fiery Ringlets and I have an odious need to play "feed-the-plasma-grenade-to-the-rhino-monkies", or more commonly, Halo 2 on co-op, so I just might tow my Xbox at my friends place and crash there for the night. Then again, I do have psi-monkies brains(researched one and found out that it wasn't...umm plasmey at all) to bash in at R&D.
  12. Adding one vote to each of them isn't really "selecting them all", it's denying the fact that the glass is half full.
  13. Edward Elgar - Symphony 3, Scherzo Allegretto
  14. Is that the horribly corny What IF...-book about Roman Empire never falling to unwashed brutes behind her gates?
  15. Oh, I have numorous problems, but I don
  16. Man, I was going to resurrect this a week ago, but decided otherwise. And now comes Eldar completely oblivious to natural order of things(that I always start new TOMBS-threads) and decides to go along with it. :Mus's disgruntled but glad that things are back to the same grin icon:
  17. Is it great or what? Yes, this is awesome! The darkness, the sounds and the feeling of dread make it so suspenseful. Doom 3 tried to do the whole game what this game did in one level. Now to find some maintenance tools for my new shotgun, those hybrids can't use these weapons for crap.
  18. Now imagine some rar-files, a file that reads "Modit"(mods) and a bunch of game exes(at least TLJ, SS2, Fallout Tactics, Freelancer and Thief 2 X) over that. I'm using the "olive green" xp theme.
  19. Kozue Takada - Himitsu Kichi
  20. Shpongle - The Dorset Perception
  21. I was just attacked by a freaking monkey, a plasma-firing angry chimpanzee in SS2. Woah. What the freaking hell?
  22. Thanks, I wasn't too sure whether I'd pass the exams. Frankly, my essay sucked ass, even with the Fawlty Towers reference("Don't mention the war"), and I didn't answer all the questions in the book section("What do you mean "social class is tied to income"?"). but it seems that was enough for the commitee. Hell, now that I look at the result, I got in with just 0.80 points over the minimum needed for admission. The selection must have been incredibly tight since the admittance is only 8 percent or something. I feel sorry for the ones that had just 0.05 under the points minimum and more sorry for the ones that had enough points but didn't pass because the one before them had one centrigrade higher points.
  23. Hehheh... I started SS2 as a Navy hacker on normal difficulty. Let's see how this goes... Edit: "Join us! Your flesh callsss to uss!" Naw, but your face calls my wrench.
  24. That's why I keep all my downloaded crap and stolen crap on a separate external drive.
