  1. those things drive me crazy. You can see passages and rooms behind there. oh well.
  2. if you can't dodge them, you may have to. There are many passages, so you can lead them around in circles. The hard part is going into the ships. You will probably get hit when you leave. Then you can leave them in the dust. The wookie fight took a while, but wasn't hard. It was a run and gun type thing. Mira wasn't a jedi in my game, I just had to keep running and shooting- and using life support pack. As sometimes you aren't far enough from the wookie when you shoot, and he hits you. sometimes you can "lose" him if you go around corners fast enough.
  3. you might have to restart that one as well It's best to kill all the beasts with the exile first. they don't respawn. You just have to make sure you clear all the areas. I missed one area my first game, because when I got too close to the door it automatically sucked me into a cut scene. In any case, that droid is fast as hell. YOu just have to fly fast round those guys. you can use repair kits as well.
  4. am I the only one who found Traya challenging? On difficult level she stuns me for 3 rounds and kills me in 2 hits. I had well over 300 hitpoints. I'm worried about how my sith lord caster character will do. She doesn't use light sabers, but only force powers. I only have a strengh of 10 and dext of 12. Killing Vrook was very hard. The Jedi on Nar Shadaa was a little easier though. I could use insanity on him. It worked about half the time.
  5. They scale up with you so the higher level you are the more powers they have. They havnt been scouring the galaxy for equipment like the player so that makes no sense. If you want to fight them on an even keel dont upgrade anything. It's no different really to fighting Malak with a capacitance belt. The differences are not very extreme but again that down to the rules. The forms would have had a big impact at low level much like a Jedi Weapon Masters + to damage would. But at level 30 +6 to damage is negligable when you consider what sort of enhancements and crystals you can put in. Use the highest saber form, a keen saber *2 and master critical strike and you can take down Sion in a single blow. I think the hardest battle was Vrook though. Assuming you do Dantoine first you dont have a lot of powers to choose from and most dont work on him at that stage. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yep, Dantooine was my first planet after Telos. Vrook was very tough. I don't know if I could have taken if I wasn't able to "hide" behind the trees.
  6. I read somewhere that it is random one or the other. It's one of those puzzles you save before doing it.
  7. does anyone have a problem with the movie quality with ATI cards? Or am I the only one? I'm talking about movies, not cut scenes. The quality is horrible. It looks like graphics you'd see in 90's games.
  8. everything is random in this game (with a few exceptions I believe)
  9. Sion actually killed me once. But only because I didn't know he regenerated. I din't bother taking any health stim paks figuring he would die. And then I figured he had to die after 3 times, he didn't. I'm vary anal about taking health stims. I never use them unless absolutely necessary. I don't like to waste them (even though I get so many)
  10. you have to be a certain level and force power to go in iirc. So I'd save Korriban for last.
  11. I found the Darth Traya battle fairly challenging. People are saying she's easier than Malak? Maybe I suppose. If you fought Malak the hard way. I thought my guardian/weapon master could take anything with over 300 hitpoints. But at difficult level she was tough. spoilers ahead: I read though that if you don't give her good dark side force powers when levelling up, she won't use them in the final battle. Is this true? My first time through, I gave her some good dark side force powers, and she used them on me, and I couldn't resist the saves. I had to do some running around to defeate Traya.
  12. Dude, do a search for Osiris' posts. NWK's comments about this guy are completely justified. Osiris tends to have this awful trend of makeing impulsive comments without asking himself "Hmm... have I missed something?". Not that I'm defending NWK... I just find it funny you take a shot at NWK and not the other guy. And it's not like NWK called Osiris a or anything, you know? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I admit I have missed things in this game. I don't claim to be a super gamer who can find all things out in a game. I admit, I have the worst time trying to get influence with Kreia. Both light and dark side. but my problems with Kreia are off topic for this thread. I won't discuss them here. I felt my original post was on topic sort of. The original post says Revan was woman. I heard you could make it so Revan was a man. I just wasn't sure where.
  13. haha this from the guy who complains that obsidian left too many plotholes. sounds to me like you just arent very observant considering THIS quote is absolutely impossible to miss unless youre braindead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what is your problem with me. Are you going to flame me all the time. Do you want me to bow down and admit you are better than me. You got some weird ego trip going on. **** off. ****ing moron. I fully admitted I missed things in the game. That's why I was asking questions. This is a a spoilers forum after all. I was looking for answers because I missed some plot points.
  14. I guess I never really payed attention to what Atton says. I don't like him.
  15. I swear I never got any option of choosine what gender light/dark side Reven is with Atton at the beginning. Unless I missed it in the conversation thread.
  16. It's a pretty good investment. It took what, 30 hours to play through once? Play through Darkside for another 25 hours. Now days I'm happy if I get $1 per hour of fun out of a game. some games I get bored of quick. Like Everquest 2. I got bored of that one after only about 20 hours of play. It all depends on if you play a game for the ending only. Or if you enjoy the journey. This game is a prime example. How does the saying go? It's not the destination that matters, but the journey. something like that. If you enjoy the gameplay, keep it. If not, get rid of it.
  17. I don't want to threadjack, but I heard there was supposed to be some place where you could designate Revan as a man or woman and light or dark side. I don't remember ever getting that. In my light side game Revan was a dark side female (I was a male) In my current dark side game Revan was a ligh side male (I'm playing a female). Of course I'm not Revan, so it doesn't matter. I just though it curious.
  18. some people actually like KOTOR2 over KOTOR1. I can't say I'm one of them. But I think Obsidian did many things better than Bioware (but it's expected to have new features in a sequal). Breaking down and creating items is pretty cool. Getting XP for using security instead of bashing. Have bashing damage the items inside. Getting XP for recovering mines. In theory I like the influence system. But it's so difficult sometimes. The story is better than KOTOR1 had they finished it. I'm still undecided which game I like better. I admit I'm a little disappointed in this game. But I really have no desire to play KOTOR1 over this game. But we'll see, I've only had it for a week. We'll see how it stands the test of time.
  19. I was looking at the FAQ, and I was wondering what happens if you play the game as a neutral character? How does that work. You wouldn't be able to achieve light or dark side mastery or get prestige class. And it says that Visas appears once you are 1/4 of the way light or dark. So would you be able to acquire Visas? Is it possible to play this game and remain true neutral? (or close to it).
  20. I guess you don't like Mandalorians then. I love them. I think they were one of the coolest aspects of the Star Wars KOTOR games. Not only do they tie the plot together, but they provide an interesting third "faction". It'd be boring if it was only the Sith and Republic.
  21. thanks. although I'm doing dark side, so I'll be helping czerka, not the Ithorians. Hopefully I can get the blaster doing those quests as well. I was thinking I was supposed to get it during the assassination attempt, and I didn't.
  22. His stats should be as good as Canderous' stats at level 20. In fact, he should be level 20.
  23. I'm supposed to have it, but I don't. I can't remember exactly where you pick it up. Maybe I missed something. But if not, I would like to know where I can find all the cheat item codes so I can place it in my inventory. I'm replaying the game, but I miss out on some good dark side quests if I don't have this.
  24. yep, that's the only one I failed. The game only seemed to give me one shot at the puzzle. And like an idiot, I saved right after I failed it. I didn't feel like going back to an earlier save.
