  1. Wat? If you don't have the patience to restart the whole game every time you die, Trial of Iron might not be for you. If you don't want the game to be hard enough that playing Trial of Iron is in any way risky, then CRPGs might not be for you.
  2. Disappointer becomes pretty beast after you overwrite the negative enchant on it though. Could you do that with just "Fine"? And it makes the whole enchant go away?
  3. I only play no death, dead is dead aka trial of iron. Dying and reloading is stupid, there should be the following: 1. some kind of subtle way to know if a fight is too hard, keyword SUBTLE. 2. a way to disengage a battle with a penalty, in my case the penalty would of been a dead bear companion, my ranger should've felt like she lost her best friend, (it's called roleplaying) 3. add a basic challenge scale I would of gladly used all my health potions and any food, anything I could muster had I not died in one cheap single blow. So you weren't being sarcastic. Trial of Iron should only be once you know the game well enough to not chump on bears. *shrug* I'm sorry for your loss.
  4. That's why there are auto-saves. You can just come back with your full party of level 1s and 2s and own the bear. Unless you were being super sarcastic, at which point, "trollololol"
  5. Your main character always does the talking. Like, even when returning to the tutorial ruins with an NPC fire godlike in your party, if you didn't already light the pillars, you still need to use a torch, the fire godlike option is still redded out for you even if you use your fire godlike NPC to talk to the pillars.
  6. Do you think combining this with giving the barbarian in question the Stiletto with the shock proc from the Blacksmith in Gilded Vale would make it even more sick?
  7. So I tried to attack the ones right outside of Aufra's house and I got a minor decrease in Gilded Vale rep, which led to surrounding NPCs attacking me. Is this inevitable or did I just happen to pick the wrong guys to do this to? They don't have any magic items AFIK, tried it a couple times.
  8. Someone made a post about putting this stiletto on a high int/might barb and letting them just ransack people with it (since you can get carnage off the proc), and you could make it even sicker by putting it on the Fire Godlike tank barb build elsewhere in this forum. :D
  9. Indeed, the tutorial rogue will buy your stuff for far more than you can get for it anywhere else, although around a thousand coppers is enough alongside the gear you get through the dungeon to get your 5 party members. I also suggest engaging scout mode through the area with the wolves and bandits until you get to the first town and avoid getting too much extra experience points so you can share them with your party and get them to level 2 asap. You can also get a few exp if you just leave the trap puzzle alone and come back with a character with 3 Mechanics and have them disarm the entire floor.
  10. So I was wondering, does the Might stat affect the amount of health healed via Constant Recovery or Ancient Memory, or are they calculated independent of the Fighter or Chanter's (respectively) might? Thanks in advance.
  11. Yes, it does. And I don't think Carnage gets an accuracy penalty but you can get a talent that gives it a bonus.
  12. I'm going to be messing around with a Hearth Orlan dual wielding battle axes with as many accuracy and upgrade-to-crit talents as humanly possible, base stats 18/8/18/8/18/8. The main idea is to do as much massive crit damage as possible. It may or may not be as effective as some other rogue builds, but it seems fun. I'm only playing on Normal, first playthrough and I just redid my PC because of the double click equip bug.
  13. This. If you want to use the one-handed style talent with a monk you will have to use a weapon, same as other classes. If you are actually dual wielding weapons, can you take both of those talents and have them both apply, though? (not exactly monk related but pursuant to the discussion nonetheless.)
