  1. I'd like to see ranger pets buffed a LOT. Having them at 10/10/10/10/10/10 is kinda lame. If you could even distribute their stats yourself that would be great. Also, you should be able to use talents to either buff your pet to be much stronger or tame an extra pet (Since wolves, boars, stags, and the like can be found in the wild).
  2. You can talk to them as the tank and it'll still be your character answering the questions. That'll presumably make the tank the target by default cuz he's all up in their grills.
  3. You gotta be level 2. You forgot to level your character up after leaving the intro dungeon, do that, and you'll be free to hire Adventurers.
  4. How is xp broken? You mean the xp differential you're supposed to get for having fewer than 6 party members?
  5. Best way to avoid this is to turn off the auto-attack option, then go to one of the custom formation things and turn it into a big V with your aoe/cone casters at the bottom of the V. Have them spray the enemies on the approach and then pause after they've all blown their loads, send the tank in first to grab whatever's left, and then select all and left click for cleanup.
  6. Most of the time i don't stack it because it's boring to cast before every fight. I didn't take that one yet. How is it bugged exactly ? It adds flat +20 damage for all attacks when engaged by 2+ enemies. The tooltip mentions a damage increase, but nothing like that. It should've been like +20% or smth I think. Kinda like how Marked Prey is worded though it doesn't actually work that way. If it did add a flat 20 damage to you and your pet, Hunting Bow + Wolf ftw, lol
  7. It's not a multiplayer game. You have zero incentive to keep bugs like that to yourself. Games stop being fun if all you do is cheat.
  8. So far as I can tell, hiring the highest level possible adventurer is always best. Since experience is shared, your lower-level party members will always be behind, and if you get two companions at lvl 2-3, they'll be at most 3-5k XP behind, which is a miniscule difference at level 5-7 and beyond. If you can tank encounters as a Paladin or Fighter, it's easier, but even with a ranged/low Health & Endurance character, it's better to get friends early rather than late, as the differences in XP grow as you progress. As a general rule, since any hired companion will be a full level below your last full level, it's best to hire any companions right after you level up. If you can scrape together the money to create all 8 of your adventurers when your main character has 2k experience your party will effectively be the same level forever, even the 3 you keep in the Inn. Between the preorder ring and the Disappointer, you should have enough money upon first arriving at the town to get all 8 of them, and mix/match the gear you have to outfit them all cheaply.
  9. Aren't they nerfing the talent that lets the priest's aoe heal burn non-undead enemies, as well?
  10. I'm interested in this as well. I heard that the Corrosive one was viable because of the rarity of DR against it, but the problem is, if you go to buff that damage with one of the elemental utility talents for purposes of buffing your own spells, I'm not sure how many Druid spells actually do Corrosive damage and/or how good they are.
  11. I definitely consider those tier one options for tanks, but also keep in mind the Coastal Aumaua get bonuses vs Prone and Stun (Devastating in higher difficulties), Mountain Dwarves get bonuses vs Poison and Disease, and the unlikely Wood Elf gets bonus Perception and +5 deflection and Reflex against archers and mages (Which is actually pretty significant if he gets targeted by all the melees and the ranged enemies), while the almost never used Pale Elves get bonus DR against heat and cold damage.
  12. How do you manage 1k behind? Best I've ever done is like 2050ish and that was avoiding all but two encounters in the tutorial dungeon.
  13. Here's the thing, if you rush to the first village and skip a lot of the early content, your adventurer companions, while technically starting at level 1, will actually be just 2000 experience behind your player character. Once you get several levels up it'll actually end up being like a half level difference, and even less than that once you're edging towards endgame.
  14. Anyone know if having a party member apply a dot to your Monk will give them regular and controllable wounds?
  15. Those situations are relatively predictable, though, so switching before engaging isn't out of the question. no i meant someone suggested you switch to the weapon set whenever you have torment available and i was saying that would slow your dps by a huge amount Right, I was just saying in response to that you could just pick which style you wanted to go with before the fight. Also, there's a talent called Quick Switch that reduces that cooldown by 1.5 seconds, so there is that. Just did some testing/theory crafting: Dual Weapon Style is worthless afik Single weapon style isn't that great because your accuracy will be extremely high so you're not likely to graze people; Thus, WF: Peasant is probably the best since it reduces the likelihood of grazes even further. Of course, the talent that reduces your wound threshold is also great since you're likely going to be spamming your attacks. I don't think Intelligence is a good stat for this build, the cone isn't wide enough to hit more than one enemy in melee, you basically have to hit them in a line away from you instead if you want Torment Reach to be anything but Single Target.

  17. Even if you don't get your auto attacks, you should still switch to fist+offhand when doing your attacks. That having been said, would the dual wield talent apply or just the 1h talent? So I'm thinking, get Mortification of the Soul and on a major fight you can spam the heck out of Torment Reach briefly for major aoe. Would you want to take Int as a primary stat for this? IIRC it just makes TR 3 meters instead of 2, might not be that impressive.
  18. I was messing around and noticed that if I equipped a weapon in the off-hand slot, I got the same accuracy boost as 1h+ empty hand, but you "dual wield" a fist and the other weapon. So, got to thinking about a Monk with Weapon Focus: Peasant dual wielding a fist and a spear. Viable? Okay so I just tested this and the guy only attacked with the off-hand weapon, he didn't alternate like I thought he would.

  20. I actually like running up on the altar and getting owned by walking trees. Nothing says "GTFO" like walking trees.
  21. Your party formation is as close to "tactics" as it gets. Use the pause system. This game punishes facerolling except for a precious few builds minmaxed for precisely that, and that requires a lot of metagaming and theorycraft to pull off, especially in the higher difficulties.
  22. It might be those treant guys in the area where you get the shipment for the Blacksmith in Gilded Vale (forgot the name of the area). Yeah, they're pretty brutal if you attack them headlong unprepared.
