  1. I had a similar problem as well. My first play through was as a lightside male and I received the message after the Red Eclipse battles. On my second play through, I had completed all of the Nar Shadaa sidequests but still no message. Then I ran around for a while and got frustrated. Finally, I was about to go into the Refugee sector and I got a quest note block. After that, I got the message from Visquis. This may be a glitch that occurs in first and second generation Xboxes. I have a second generation Xbox.
  2. I'm on my second go round as a female lightsider. I went to Nar Shadaa, then Dxun and Onderon and next was Dantooine. I was able to convert Atton and Mira on Nar Shadaa. I also got my lightsaber on Nar Shadaa and then went on. When I got to Dantooine I kept Bao-Dur and Mandalore in my party. My lightside action opened up the Jedi conversion for Bao-Dur after I found the atmospheric sensors. I had Bao-Dur check them out and praised him for it. The next conversation was about his anger and I was able to convert him into a Jedi. It was a lot easier this time as opposed to the first time when I was a male lightsider. Disciple was even easier. I was on the Ebon Hawk the entire time. I talked to Disciple and asked questions and then gained a few influence points and was able to convert him to a Jedi. It must be a female glitch that allows female pc's to have more influence over the male characters.
  3. I always get to build my lightsaber before I leave Nar Shadaa. I get the first part on Telos from Chodo Habat. The next two parts I get on Nar Shadaa. I complete the refugee sidequest with Aaida. Then I raid Vogga the Hutt's storeroom for the last piece. I return to the Ebon Hawk, talk to Bao Dur and I have a lightsaber.
  4. Nar Shadaa, without question. You get more sidequests than all of the other planets. You get Mira and can convert her to a jedi before you leave.
  5. I prefer Nar Shadda. Lots os experience points and oppurtunities for lightside or darkside points. Plus, you get to meet a Hutt!! If your pc is female, you can put on a provocative outfit and SHAKE YOU BOOTY!! You can't beat that.
  6. I disagree. I liked KoTOR II because of the prestige classes, more feats and more force powers. The story may not have been as polished as the first, but I didn't care because I LOVE ANYTHING STAR WARS!! Seriously, the rpg quality was a great influence for me buying the first game but the chance to be a Star Wars character and choose my own path; priceless! Game play is still what I believe to be high quality and it has the same re-play value as KoTOR I. There are just so many things that you can do or do not. I can't help myself. I am a big Star Wars fan!!
  7. Force Enlightenment is really good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Force Enlightenment? As opposed to Force Crush? Why? Why am I drawn to the light when darkness beckons me? By the way, what are the benefits of Force Enlightenment? I hope it's worth it.
  8. I agree. KoTOR II has no place for Bastilla. I don't agree that she was an uber Jedi. She was about as mediocre as Jedi come. Yes she was proficient in the art of Battle Meditation; but that's all. The only other thing she's known for is heading the party to stop Darth Revan. Malak did all of the work for her. If Malak hadn't intervened, Revan more than likely would have killed Bastilla and the party of Jedi sent against him.
  9. OH!! Then that's okay. I guess it makes the game a little more interesting. It's better than an enemy with the potential to be more powerful than you. Or is it?
  10. I found the other parts for the speeder as well and after installing all of the parts, the speeder didn't work. It gave me a message that I shouldn't use the speeder for travel; or something similar. I left the Regugee area and returned later to complete another sidequest and was unable to do anything with the speeder because someone had damaged it beyond repair. My question is: Who damages the speeder beyond repair? I killed every Serroco and Exchange thug in the area. Maybe Krei sneaks out of the Ebon Hawk and damages the speeder to force you to run around Nar Shadaar; wasting time until you meet you final destiny!!!
  11. Can you get this power whether your pc is lightside or darkside? I am currently a lightside male (light mastery) and have a high charisma and wisdom. I use Force Storm and Scream with minimal force point penalties. I would love to add force crush.
  12. I believe that Epiphany was referring to the PC's personal arm band. Please, correct me if I am wrong, because it would be great if the armband changed as your pc changed.
  13. Good question. I was unaware that your personal crystal changed with you. [OFF TOPIC]If you have light mastery, is your crystal as powerful as it will become?[/OFF TOPIC] I was also wondering where the idea for a personal armband originated? Is it tied to some sub-plot within the game? Does it hold any significance?
  14. I'm glad someone asked what I was wondering as well. I'm even happier that there is a decent answer. Not a great answer but a decent one. I don't care one way or another because I love ANY Star Wars themed game!! :D
  15. I'll give it my best shot. INT affects computer use, repair and adds skill points when you level up. WIS affects force points, security skill and adds points to treat injury. CHA affects your persuade checks. I hope I was able to help a little.
  16. I was unaware of the "balancing" that Obsidian put into this game. What you are all saying is that the more powerful my pc becomes, the more powerful the enemies become. Is that part of the DnD d20 rule set? I always thought that in the ruleset that an enemy's hp, bab and saves were calculated based on that enemy's level; not the pc's level. If that's the case then, I believe that Obsidian did d20 a great disservice by basing an enemy's stats on your pc's stats.
  17. My brother had the same problem with KOTOR 1. He has the original Xbox. The one that was released first; ver. 1.0. I think all 1.0's have problems with KOTOR 1 and 2 because of the d20 calculations required for attack and defense. KOTOR 2 more because of the random drop variables. I have ver. 1.1 and I have never had any problems at all. You can check your version by going to xbox-scene.net and searching thier forums for xbox versions and how to determine which version you have. Best of luck to you and I hope I was able to help.
  18. I know that from playing through NWN, you can get up to lvl 40. Personally, I am glad that Obsidian left out the lvl 20 cap. I like to go through a game and slay indiscriminently!! Anyhow, thank all of you for the replies. I just got the game for X-mas and have played for about 15 hours. I'm just waiting to get to lvl 15 to become a weapon master. Thanks for all of the input!!! (w00t)
  19. Thank you for the quick replies. Also, do you continue to get Attribute points every four lvls? I would assume that you would. When do you run out of feat points for your level? IE: If your PC is at lvl 40, would they receive atrribute, skills, feats and powers points? Just curious.
  20. Sorry, I am new to this forum. I was curious as to the max level that your pc can attain. I played through KOTOR I numerous times and was unhappy at the lvl 20 max. My question is what is the maximux level that you can attain in KOTOR2?:">
