Here comes the flood issue
jtrowell replied to Ksnake's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Talk about bad luck : after the heroic version where the Magga seemed to always roll high for the number of card he ate, I just played in legendary. As wildcard effects I had : - discard a card from the blessing deck when you fail to acquire a boon - boon difficulty +4 Ouch, both were a bad combinaison, plus in a scenario where you have to acquire allies, having +4 to the difficulty was not really great. Still, I didn't forfeit and tried to play anyway, thinking that it would probably be a lost game ... And then all seemed to go my way : - the black magga ate very few cards, only 1 or 2 per location during its first turns, and he often went to the empty locations later - I got lucky at the village house and got 3 allies during my very first turn with lem I needed 9 allies to win, I got 10, but of course you see where I am going : with the magga having eaten much less cards than usual, plus some turns lost due to the scenario effect when failing a boon, the game ended for lack of turn. It still got the victory screen, but due to the bug of not having finished the game by taking the last card, the win was not recorded on the map ... The game really trolled me with those recent games ... -
Lini can in fact greatly benefit from weapon proficiency, with the d4+X from revealing an animal ally, even her base d4 can starts to get a rather decent combat level with a decent weapon. And you always have the option of witching her base die to d10 by discarding a card, making her able to handle bosses if needed. For Sem it's less useful, you usually wants a dex based weapon for him and crossbows are usually enough without needed the profeciency, but having it still allow to use the occasionnal weapon found, to discard a crossbow to help someone in another location, or to use a bow if you find one. When you get your role if you go virtuoso and can starts to recharge cards to buff yourself, suddenly even a melee weapon can become useful, allowing you to easily kill small monsters wiothout wasting or needing an attack spell.

Gameplay bug collection
jtrowell replied to Longshot11's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
In the original post you mention a bug with Fox not giving bonus to other characters, this has already been fixed for a while (in 1.3.0 i think) -
Quest mode level 30
jtrowell replied to KhalilAyoub's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This has already been reported as a bug and should be fixed in the next patch, I have stopped playing Quest mode for now for this reason, as the fix will probably not be retroactive. (but if I am wrong I will be happy, I already have 2 characters with the wrong kind of reward) If you didn't select the reward yet, quit the game for now and wait for the patch before coming back to quest mode (it will resume at the start of the reward step). If not, well, depending on the character the additionnal power feat might be worth it compared to a card feat, or it might be something almost useless (armor prof., yohoo !) -
You want to talk about bad luck ? In 3 full games in heroic difficulty, where he is supposed to eat 1d6 cards per turn instead of 1d4, the only time that he ate less than 3 cards was once in the 3rd game, all other times he ate 3-6, making me believe for a while that it was eating 1d4+2 and not 1d6. When by turn 5 he has already eaten 26 (game #2) or 27 (game #3) card, you know that it will be hard. I managed to win the thrid time simply because focused on a few locations and got lucky that he did often try to eat an empty location, but even there I only won by a thread.

Update 1.0.3.1 Patch Notes!
jtrowell replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
There are a few undocumented fixed not listed in the changelog, for exemple a dev confirmed that they fixed the reward for level 30 in quest mode. -
By default if you hand is under the limit the game auto skip the discard phase. In this case if you want to recharge an armor, instead of clicking the "next" button/arrows at the right of the screen, click on the trashcan icon on the top right that correspond to the discard phase, this will force the game to go to this phase, giving you the occasion to recharge your magic armors.

wrong reward for level 30 ?
jtrowell replied to jtrowell's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Can someone confirm if this bug has been fixed in 1.3.1 ? What about characters that were already above level 30, will they get to respect the power feat into a card feat ? Thanks in advance. -
Questing and Exp.
jtrowell replied to Spydurmn's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Yeah, losing the game will means that you get no experience at all for it, that's why I usually close locations as soone as possible, must better to have a quick game with low XP and play another one immdiatly that try for a longer game and risk losing all XP, especially when you are at a level where you don't have many new cards that you want until the next tier is opened. -
Gold not being saved
jtrowell replied to Pura's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Happened to me at least 3 or 4 times in quest mode, I was using heroic difficulté at least for 3 of them, not sure about the last one PFID-406FA445AB4151A8 -
Now that you are level 10, your party should be listed as Tier 1 instead of Tier B, and you should starts to find some new things. (in fact I think that some Deck 1 cards, mainly villains and henchmen, starts to appear before that) At first, most games should look similar, but you should start getting some games in the city of magimar with different set of locations. I agree however that with how leveling starts to slow down at this level, plus the fact that cards in quest mode have a different distribution than in normal story, levels 10-20 are probably the more boring part, with lot of similar games and few cards found during the games that will improve your decks. On levels 20+ I find that the situation improve, you get even more location for a little more variety, and cards from the next tier starts to really improve your decks, so even if leveling is still slow as hell compared to story mode, most games should have interesting cards found.

Shopkeeper's daughter
jtrowell replied to GTSaiko's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Now let's talk about the other barrier : the blacksmith son -
Started a new fresh quest group, second scenario that I play I got Gogmurt as the villain, with the special scenario rule that goblins get +1D4 difficulty. It worked fine against random gobs, but when encountering the boss for the first time in this scenario with kyra, I got the random roll to add to the difficulty, and then nothing, I could still navigate the interface, but I was not proposed any check to defeat the boss nor could I end the turn. I trying quitting the game and reloading, but I then I got to roll the random difficulty again and ends the same, so I had to forfeit. In the first scenario that I played with this new group it was also against him and it worked fine, so I suspect it's the +d4 difficulty for goblins combined with his double encounter profile that are probably the source of the problem.

Valeros weapon master bug
jtrowell posted a question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
My Valeros is a weaponmaster, he has STR +3 (with melee = STR + 3) and DEX +1 I use a +1 ranged weapon, getting D8+2 base damage with the weapon bonus (DEX bonus + static bonus for +1 weapon) I then activate the power that allow me to switch a ranged attack to my melee skill, and I would expect to get my full melee modifier, so STR die + 3 (STR skill feat) + 3 (melee skill), or at worst something like DEX die (d8) + 1 (DEX skill feat) +3 (melee skill) in addition to the weapon static +1 and other dice. However I only got as base damage D10+4 , so probably the weapon +1 bonus and eitheir the STR static without the melee skill, or the melee skill without neitheir the STR bonus nor the DEX bonus. In all cases the power doesn't work like I would expect, or did I miss something ? -
