No. No, there isn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, there was a beheading, and a sex scene, but neither of them showed anything. The sex scene was before the beheading, and wasn't really a sex scene, but your 'siring'. All it really had was some moans as the camera panned acround the room, showing some alcohol, condom wrappers, and some handcuffs on the bed leg (kinky!). Then after that, was the beheading, but all it really showed was the Sheriff's bigass sword coming down on your sire's neck, and then *poof* no more head. Then ashes just like when you kill any other vampire in the game. I think the most graphically violent cut scene in the game, was the 'Snuff Film Tape', and the most violent action you could actually do would have to be the stealth kill with either the katana or the occult blade. That was a badass stealth attack though, the only one I liked doing more than that was the stealth kill with your fists (neck snap). :D I've got to agree, I mean I live and breath games, I play them and I'm study'in at university how to make them. But after seeing what NWN did to my ex-fiance(Far as I know she's done little else but play it solidly for the last year and a half). I'm extremly worried about the effect of such games like NWN on people whom wish to escape reality, when you're spending more of your life in a virtual world that you are living in the real world then there is a problem, and a serious one at that... Perhaps it is simply a reflection of disatisfaction in the real world, a sort of powerlessness. "In the real world I'm a loser, but in the virtual world I am <Insert your villian or hero here>, I am powerful where here! I am weak and unimportant in the real world" I really wouldn't know, I've never become so disconnected and distant from actual reality. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been there before, and for me, it wasn't so much wanting to be someone else, I was comfortable enough with my image, self esteem, etc. But more because there were so many bad things in the world beyond my control (my family was going through some particularly rough times, I was fed up with school politics etc.) that I just didn't want to be there. I want better blood effects, I want more gore, not less... currently things are pretty weak... I wanna see organs damn, heck I wanna be able to kick around a pair of lungs even.

My advice, lots of research into the theory behind whatever you're most interested in. Charles River Media has a shedload of books on various topics. Read books, learn about techniques in games programming that are employed. Start small projects, such as space invaders, asteroids, and paratrooper, this is a great way to learn basic techniques.

I see well this gives me some clue, as I'm currently writing a pitch, the pitch itself I cannot imagine being that long, but I was unsure weather to add things such as the script, and ruleset. I felt the ruleset was essencial as it give a insight into the functionality of the gameplay.

Di on the rampage I see..... Here we go again. There are valid reasons for folk to fear the current situation, with Bush coming in for a second term. Why do Europeans and folk from other lands take an interest in who Americans vote for? Simple... Because in essence it effects them. It effects the world, and the stability of the world. Alot of folks outside the US don't like the attitude that terrorism can be somehow crushed with the use of force. In my opinion it'll just make things worse in the long run. America is based upon the principle of Freedom, while I personally found the land to have an oppressive nature and vary'in degree's of social confomity and falseness it is not for me to say how a people should live in their own land. I respect freedom in that sense, because to most Americans what they have is Freedom of their choosing. The main problem is that America does impose itself upon other lands, it does impose it's values upon other people. It's happening in Iraq, and in Afganistan and soon it'll happen in Iran I'll wager. This is the kind of hypocracy that truly irks me, coupled with christian idealology, and fundimentalism is infact dangerious when you come to think of what a christian in turn believes and desires to happen. This is fine within the borders of America, but outside it? I think not. Is it not just another imperialistic age that we live in where America spreads it's culture beyond it's borders imposing it to unsuspecting numpties in some cases and by force in others. Cultural battleground that is fought in the minds of every human on this planet. That is the current situation. I'd like to see all American troops of the unofficial occupation of europe leave, especially from my homeland. I'd also like to think that this whole son of star wars thing wasn't in my region of the UK, why not put a bullseye on my forehead and take a pot shot...
