  1. As far as D&D engines go, ToEE's engine is king.
  2. heh, they clearly skimp on the AI for a large portion of the zombies, displaying this many is no problem, it's controlling them which is hard and thus coz they're zombies they can get away with mass stupidity and make certain zombies based upon distance more intelligent.
  3. I really don't feel like I've missed out on a damn thing.
  4. it's just a glorified drying cloth.
  5. Huh, no ot's not a bad thing at all if you like GTA that is, I like GTA, I like Zombies, I like the idea of GTA playing style and smiting zombies. No, I won't buy a 360 to play it.
  6. It doesn't suck, it's not a classic though. I think I said this before but it really felt like GTA with Zombies to me.
  7. Played the demo today, it's somewhat like GTA with zombies, the gore is great, killing zombies is just plain fun. Oh yeah and the jiggly boob tech is the best yet ARF!
  8. Been watching it, been liking it, good olde mong out TV.
  9. Yep. And Devil May Cry too. I've heard it's quite... mediocre. Unless I'm mistaking with something else. It's quite old isn't it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh rune was pretty good in multiplayer in it's day, SP wasn't all that bad, too much jumping though.
  10. Funny that folk thought RF2 sucked, I really enjoied it, but I never got to play RF1... So nothing to compare it with I suppose.
  11. Why? And what do you think of the other Infinity engine games? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Although I did enjoy the story, I found the gameplay boring. Actually what annoyed me the most was the incredibly slow pacing and I wanted some spells or skills but it would take forever to get enough xp for a levelup and then all I had was 1 choice or 1 point to spend, after like 10-15 hours of play. It must be noted though that I had never played table top D&D before at that time and I found the whole rule system very annoying. Add to that the instant game over when the main character died(I understood why but it was frustrating) and how hard it was to gather enough money for equipment and resurrections of party members and I just gave up. I used cheats to fix what I was annoyed with and moved on. IWD was ok but with basically the same problems as BG1 with some improvements. I loved Torment because the problems I had with BG1 were irrelevant as it was a slow paced game more because of the dialog and storytelling and that is ok. the gameplay was essentially the reading. But my gripes aren't for the engine itself, more for the D&D rules and as the editions evolved, my enjoyment for D&D-based CRPGs grew. I still prefer FPRPGs like Morrowind, Wizardry and Ultima Underworld though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No Arx Fatalis?
  12. They have yet made a game that I want to play. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Other than blackthorne I feel exactly the same way.
  13. I thought that was a smash hit?! Me and my friends were quite into it when it came. Lost Vikings too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I read it wasn't recieved too well, but it's the only blizzard game I have liked, and that's probably more down to my liking of flashback and another world, than it being blizzard. While successful, blizzard have failed to entertain me most of the time.
  14. Only Blizzard game I ever liked was Blackthorne, heh supposed to have been a failure sales wise.
  15. Do you wear earplugs when youre computing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Reckon it's as loud as a hoover?
  16. Just Played Fahrenheit.... Finished it in one go, damn good story, pretty interesting on the whole. Perfect engine, best adventure game I've played in years.
  17. I'd love to see a DVD and get a feel for what it is like to work at obsidian.
  18. The 360 is a powerhouse, but that doesn't mean the 360 is or has the same potential to be as fun as the wii, the wii LOOKS like a hell of alot of fun. There is a 360 in the living room, it rarely see use, infact the GC gets used more.
  19. If by "brilliant PvP" you mean seeing who's hitpoint bar drains the fastest in a generic slugfest where no strategy is involved and the bigger ship always wins, then yeah, I agree with you. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So you'd enjoy a more simulated combat?
  20. I was thinking about a totally different combat model, something more akin to freelancer & elite, and nothing at all like eve. - Real Time Simulated Space Combat - Space setting, with everything from planets through to asteroid field and nebulas - Procedural Huge Universe
  21. Try sticking the model in the base C:\Models folder, that may help you some. As Mr.Dave says it's a problem with the file path, it's most likely limited to 255 characters. This is a random guess.
  22. Is anyone interested in playing an MMO, which plays in a similar fashion to Elite, if so what features would you like to see in such a game apart from the obvious trading and real time space based combat?
  23. The Wheel of Time(FPS type thing) Temple of elemental Evil (D&D Done right) PoR2 (D&D Done very wrong)
