  1. Got it. I am not usually into sound stuff, but this is awesome. The difference between my old headphones and these is tremendous! Audio hardware is underrated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Audio hardware is extremely important! I always use headphones, more so when playing fps's so I can use my ears to help me as the viewing perspective is usually alot less than in rl. Good headphones + Audio hardware can give a major advantage when MP gaming.
  2. Dozer - Born A Legend Metsatoll / Eesti Rahcusmeeskoor - Raua Needmine Noothgrush - Imperial March Solstice - To Ride With Tyr Ulver - Wolf and Fear Esoteric - Blood in the Eyes Evoken - Withering Indignation Anathema - Closer
  3. In terms of Audio for sound FX I know very little in regards to what is the industry standard, as for musical composition it's usually pro-tools based. Obsidian usually outsource, for musical composition. If you're interested in composing music for computer games then I suggest you try and contact Jeremy Soule ( http://www.jeremysoule.com/ ) Regardless of if you actually like his compositions he's got a wealth of industry experience, and has answered questions i had many years ago, so I assume he's still very friendly and forthcoming with information. Good luck.
  4. ... The Bards Tale Series really is solid.
  5. Certain... really easy to get headshots
  6. The game is absolutely insane on the higher difficulty levels... Real test for FPS fanatics. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ? I thought it was surprisingly easy...
  7. Words are molded like clay - Supersonic Death Machine! awesome!
  8. The toolkit lets one choose such things, rest-wherever-whenever is just something setup for NWN2, it can be defined however one wishes... Naturally I can't actually say what Josh has in mind, but if he wants the sleeping/residency rules to be in, there is no reason why they cannot be implemented.
  9. I'm just interested to see what the difference in terms of style will be without "Market" forces. I'm wondering if it will be more gritty and less censored in all honesty...
  10. Once upon a time there were the kids with Spectrums, and the kids with C64's, who fought among themselves over who had the best system. And then there were the kids with Amstrads who were looked on with disdain by everyone else. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> because it was clearly the superior system. DUH!
  11. I take it your all about
  12. Operation Wolf & Operation Thunderbolt OWNED in their day, god I loved those games....
  13. I had one of these.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amstrad_CPC
  14. Wintersun - Sleeping Stars
  15. Anymore than the farcry release currently out there GOD did they make a mess of a game.
  16. I mostly spent time on computers even then....
  17. BG 1 & 2 in IWD2's engine, very unlikely... extremely time consuming. I wouldn't even entertain that project for fun, it's freaking pointless, it'd be more sensible to write an engine that will read from both a produce a new result so to speak... New engine using old assets and files... And even then, totally pointless in my opinion, nothing more than an exercise.
  18. I believe there were issues in regards to compatibility... IWD2's engine was a heavily modded version of BG's so... welll it' was alot like square plugs in round holes, it could be MADE to work, but only in a buggy and unstable manner... Well something like that.
  19. I have no wisdom teeth!
  20. I was a big fan of the "Lone Wolf" series
  21. NWN2 from a technical perspective on release was about a strike as it gets, tho' the obsidian boys had a good design, good story and so on, thus all is forgiven it seems. Unless you happen to be playing for some friends in a slo-pitch game and don't really understand the rules since you're used to playing softball. I guess then, to apply the analogy, it still counts as a strike, but your company will never fold. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Obsidian FOLD, I agree they've too strong a name, and too good a talent to do so, from top to bottom...
  22. You can listen to what I have learnt and take on board what I say or not, it changes nothing, there is no "correct" opinion of this matter. Far as I am concerned, this conversation is over as your opinion is clearly made, that's irrelivant of if I believe it right or wrong. Some people are not worth the time or effort to converse with.
