That is one of the nicest things I've ever heard anyone say about Britian. Really. As far as I'm aware, and I could be mistake, we don't have jay walking over here. If we do, no one pays any attention to it, ever. Even the cops do it. As far as I recall, we've never been taught in school not to 'jay walk'. In fact, I only heard the term when I was in the US/Canada. I find it absurd that anyone would fine you for something as simple as crossing a road. Admittely, yours are a lot bigger though. Jay Walking is perfectly legal in the UK. They don't teach people not to jay walk, more how to cross a road. Now in America... Well, you're obviously not trusted with walking across a road. Perhaps it's too complex a task for the average american, I dunno.

If you could make any game, what would it be like?

What so basically in the same game engine? -
Might I suggest, based on the "I hate controllers" statement, that your evaluation of the interface on the PC versus the X-Box version might have a moderate to significant bias? I don't enjoy playing games on a controller, never have never will, I work with an XBOX controller every damn day so it's certainly not due to lack of skill, I just genuinely found the experiences more comfortable upon a keyboard. That's doesn't mean it'll go for everyone. Then is it worth mentioning what you're seeing as being a credible source? It's not is it. Hey I'll buy a port for a game if I don't own it, I don't see much point in grabbing a port of a game i already own tho' that's just bizzare.

Halo PC is one of the (two) grudges I have against Gearbox. Two new superweapons added to multiplayer. I do kind of like the rocket warthog, though. The PC version of Halo only enforced the truth about the game, in that it is a steaming turd of a game. Or that you just don't have friends aka co-op. The single-player is stupid, and so is anyone who actually rates the game by it. Co-op+couch+beverages=instawin. 9 of use played in the office we all walked away shaking our heads.

A bunch of classic Amiga MOD's, like the Alien breed theme and rtype.

A prime example of your Vological philosophy towards gaming, I only WISH i could have such a deep understanding of gaming like you volo.

How strange I find that the PC version feels alot better for me, a hell of alot better the control method is clear, it's intuitive. Then again I hate controllers. Another odd one... Not only does the game look better on my PC, but the game looks better than the cutscenes. Kinda silly to buy the PC version if you have played and finished the XBOX version, or even own it. Why buy a port of something you already own? (General question to everyone)

I believe I can do that for you, I just need pointing in the direction of an ASCII wok && some direction to a binary file. I will post when I have some success. You can send any file to me at n0408494 AT hud DOT ac DOT uk

Okay well that makes some sense to me, could you link me to the Kotor tool so I could use that, and some instruction on how to get my hands on 001EBO - KotOR II I own a copy of KOTOR II, so I should be able to get it from that, then I shall take a closer look. I can tell you some information in regards to what the tools output means. you will, basically a 6 sided object, it's collision data, I can get an output (probably best in wireframe) of this aswell, atleast that's what the first 6 figures represent I think. The final figure is a mystery. All this is moot really, and probably not that helpful, I'll have to study the binary file directly, figure out what all the data means. There is also another problem even tho' I can tell you straight up what most of the information means, I can't really do much else for you guys unless you tell me exactly what it is you need. Even then I may not be able to help.

Ah. Well, good luck then. I'm a games journalist. I review games, I don't report the news. All I have is a (somewhat educated) opinion which I try to convey as objectively as possible to the readers of our site. Sometimes it doesn't work and we make mistakes. It was probably a mistake to let me review Gothic 2 (which is the reason I turned down Gothic 2 Gold and Gothic 3..), just as it was giving Zelda: The Wind Waker to our biggest Zelda fan (he scored it 98/100 back when we had that scale). Do you think Eurogamer are proud of the fact that they scored Oblivion 10/10 right now? Or do you think there's not a single reviewer in the world going "Hey, Gears of War.. maybe it wasn't The Holy Grail Of All Gaming after all?" right now? We offer opinions, not fact. We're not trying to convince anyone that we're right, we're merely trying to convey a sense of what the product is about so that the reader can make up his own mind about whether or not the title in question is for him/her, without having to spend 50
