Here's a happy thought, just imagine if you're walking down the sidewalk of a busy street, and the person behind you is a rich bastard, and he just goes and gives you 1000$. Seriously, that wouldn't suck. I mean, it's almost scary. I mean, some crazy person you don't know could help you at any time when you're walking down a street in the city, or even at work or high school or college or anywhere else. People are unpredictable, and some of them intend to do good. Just something to think about. And something to remember next time you're walking down a busy side walk or something.

Bomb explodes --> Losties go from 1977 to 2007 --> Losties push reset button --> Plane flies by in 2004, nobody remembers anything. They thought the bomb was the reset button, but what it did was send them back to their time. Maybe the reset button is something else, like, I don't know really, maybe killing Smokie. It's just a theory, one I really don't want to happen. We've seen flashbacks we believed were the present, flashforwards we believed were flashbacks, now we may be seeing flashsideways that are in reality flashforwards of a still unexisting past. lol That doesn't make sense at all. They would have to travel in the past, again, because the island has to sink, or do something that affects the past. So, yeah, alternate realities, hoping they merge soon.

What if the new 2004 timeline is the future of the "after-bomb" 2007? What we think is an alternate timeline is actually a flash-forward? By the end of the season they would have succeeded in pushing the reset button. I hope that's not it.

Personnaly, I'd go with ranger/fighter. You can become assassin as soon as 6th level. At that level the rogue would not give you much sneak attacks (assassins don't get sneak I think). To be effective you would need 10 levels of rogue to get crippling strike (requirement for Epic precision). With ranger/fighter you'd have a better attack bonus, more feats, and the possibility to dual-wield. Keep your skill points for the ranger levels (to boost hide and move silently). After the assassin levels, if you want to hide a lot take ranger levels. It's also good for improved versions of dual wielding, but with the fighters feats you can take those. If you get to level 9 ranger you get evasion, which is good. Fighters are good for feats and HP, if you don't mind about them forget the fighter and go all ranger. I never check for xp penalties, so I don't know what that build would do in that regard.

I never use cheats usually, but this bank mission streched my patience too much. Getting to the subway exit is not too hard, but losing that 5 stars wanted level was too much for me. I would have persevered if it had not been that long to reach that point. After that mission, since my save was not "cheat-free", I used them sometimes, after a few tries without. It somewhat lessened the experience, I'm sure, so next time i'll try to finish the game without cheats. After the first activation, cheats are ridiculously easy to use, theres is an option on your phone and you select the cheat to use. BIG SPOILERS for those who have finished

Very interesting, that house rule for skill points for high intellience, i'll propose this at my next session. For the knowledge skills I agree with Sand, they should not be merged. It is quite normal to not know everything and to specialise in a few knowledges. Nobody has the time to study everything deeply. If somebody wants to know a little bit of everything fine, but it should be just a little bit, not to the level of someone who specialises in a particular field of knowledge. I don't think listen and spot should be merged with search. With search you actively look for something, listen and spot are "natural", they don't involve much thinking. I would let search as it is and merge listen and spot to a skill named perception. Fine with the merging of move silently and hide, never understood why it was two different skills. I like your dialog skills using different abilities. I don't like your new balance skill. All those skills are quite different. If somebody wants to master all those skills he has to devote himself to it, as it should. It's like the knowledges. A lot of the skills you think useless are maybe not used often, but they certainly add flavor to a character. You would replace speak language with what, a feat? You can't eliminate it, people can learn a new language during play. The languages known at character creation are the languages the character know at this time, not the maximum he can learn. I find it funny that you think Profession useless yet you would change a few other skills to Profession: xxxx

Then I guess a new source of magic will be discovered. I hope this will make magic less present. To be honest I've never played in FR, but these changes might make me check it out. The old FR was ... I don't know ... too finished? I had read too much about it and it felt unchangeable. That's why I like Eberron right now, there are lots of unknown. You can go to Xen'drik and explore unknown areas, if you're crazy you get try getting to Argonessen, if you feel like having your mind blown up you can go to Sarlona. Not much is known about a lot of the world. You can let your imagination do its job.

Do not, ever, hand out a Deck of Many Things to a player. We, the players, had asked to pick cards from it, just for the kicks. It was out of game completely, but the DM allowed it and said it would be effective anyway, with no going back. All five players chose to pick 3 cards . Two players were lost (one by imprisonment, the other by a bad wish ) I lost all my possessions but won a 4th level fighter as companon (yay), one came up even and the other won 10 000 xp (we were 5th level) and a random outsider ennemy (turned out to be a balor who, to give the player a little chance, send a succubus to the job, killed him anyway). So, it destroyed the entire party, but we had asked for it so we were not mad at the DM. Turned out to be fun though.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that Riccitiello left EA, went to Elevation to buy Bioware and Pandemic, then went back to EA which then buys Bioware and Pandemic from Elevation? If I was a little paranoiac I'd say Bioware & Pandemic didn't want EA in the picture, so Riccitiello made a deal with Elevation so they'd buy them, then sell them to EA for a huge profit.
